Akira is one with an open mind to a lot of things, especially if it means escapism from the hell that he's endured ever since he was only a child. What someone like his stepfather Kenji would call him, a drunken mistake. His mother would call a blessing from above. After all, one mans trash is another persons treasure.

However, things go a bit deeper than that. Ever since he was able to take his first steps and speak, Kenji forced him through horrific experiments on his brain to study him more. With Akira being the offspring of the Ultimate Programmer himself, and the brother of Kenji. There was potential for something more.

However, that hell finally came to a close, but opened a door to tragedy when Akira was 5. Akira woke one night along with his older brother, to find their parents were dead.

Ever since, the boys were forced to the streets and due to restraining orders preventing Akiras biological dad from seeing Akira...Nothing could be done. In some cases, Akira had to made sacrifices for his older brother, as did Junpei for Akira.

However, when they got their first bit of money from a man who called himself a genie, and granted them one of their wishes for money. Akira stumbled across an Arcade and decided to try one of the few games in there. Setting quite the high score for someone his age.

Even if Akira was slightly impulsive with betting their money away, he'd come back with close to $500 to $1000 in bets alone of him winning matches against very skilled gamers.

Until one day, the brothers gained somewhat of a happy new start. They were accepted into the Home of Extraordinary Minds. Ever since, Akira would advance his Gaming Career by streaming games that were classics, to modern day new releases. Making new friends and attending many events..

But one thing was always for sure. Junpei always had Akiras back especially in this place. Even if some days Akira felt nobody would ever adopt the both of them.

However, what they never realized was that the Extraordinary Minds Academy wanted to personally invite them as respectfully, the Ultimate Guardian for Junpei...and for Akira, the Ultimate Gamer.

In Akiras case, he gained the Ultimate Gamer title for not only winning in 200 esports matches in a row through his time in the orphanage, but he was a collector through and through of all games and consoles.

Be it a visual novel, a JRPG, or even just a nice puzzle game. Akira will play any type of game, and with his luck? He will come out on top everytime. Be it a speedrun, getting 100%, or anything but? Akira will explore a game up and down till he has every answer.

But in a game of literal life or death...Is that really the case, or will Akira slowly succumb to the despair that he's screwed no matter what he does?
