Chapter 58: A Toast to the Fallen

The group of 7, now reconciled in the Kitchen aside Monoboy, were looking around inside the kitchen. Attempting to find something that potentially wasn't tainted by the last motive.

However, not much was able to be found, which only left everyone questioning.

"Well damn, how the heck can we have a proper final meal together?" Kentaro asked in disappointment.

"Wait, guys!" Kioka said. "I found cheese!"

"Is it still good?" Kentaro asked, as he looked it over. "Huh. It is. So what exactly could we make from a cube of cheese?"

"Hmm....I have an idea." Lily muttered, as Riku could be seen quivering. "Oh god, Lily cooking again. I got a bad feeling about this."

"Would you rather eat dirt?" Lily asked sarcastically as Riku shrugged. "If you cook anything like the Pickle Cheesecake, like you did for Kentaro? Yes."

"Ehh. suit yourself then. I was gonna make Pizza with everyone, but we can totally keep you out." Lily snarked.

"Cmon Lily." Akira said. "Rikus just as much of a part of the group as all of us."

"Well he ain't gonna disrespect my cooking! Even if I do admit, I had a few slip ups here and there since I never done it once in my life." Lily snarked, as she then thought for a moment.

"Maybe if I go back to my Lab, I can find some Wheat and Tomatoes. Possibly even Hot Peppers. I'll make sure to save ghost peppers especially for Riku."

Mitsuko chuckled. "Question is, would Riku be able to stomach something so intense in heat?"

"Damn right I can!" Riku shouted. "What, you trying to doubt me?!"

"Riku. No you can't, be honest." Kentaro spoke.

"Ghost Peppers? Does that mean the Peppers are dead? That would mean they can't be eaten if that's possible!" Kioka spoke, as Yumico chuckled.

"Oh Kioka, keep remaining the precious angel you are."

"Well that all said! Perhaps I can help with gathering the ingredients?" Monoboy asked, as Lily shrugged. "That's up to you, but by all means? Sure."

As Yumico and Lily went off to grab the wheat and tomatoes with Kioka and Monoboy from Lily's lab, the boys took a moment to really reconcile after everything.

"So, you and Mitsuko are official?" Riku asked, as Akira nodded.

"Yep. I decided I don't wanna be afraid anymore and go back and forth with my feelings. If this is what my future will ensue, I'm pretty damn happy with this."

"Hey, frankly I think that's a great thing!" Kentaro spoke. "It's good to see you be more confident in yourself just like I wanna be."

"So what exactly do you guys plan to do when we escape though?" Mitsuko asked.

"Great fucking question..." Riku said. "If I'm honest. I know community service is fuckin waiting for me, potential prison time at worst given what happened. Then again, I did serve a Juvie sentence I got bailed out on."

"Wasn't it over that creeper that groped your little sister though?" Akira asked.

"Eyup. Nearly murdered him, got bailed out. However the racing incident? Well. Nobody knew, until now since this shits broadcasted to the world." Riku groaned. "My biggest concern is Haru...If she's even ok."

"I'm sure shes ok somewhere." Kentaro spoke. "If anything, hell im sure she's excited to see you again man. I mean hell, getting to go home and see my Grandparents again? Ahh..I miss my grandmas cooking."
