Yumcio is known as someone not to approach with hostility, but caution. She'd rather be sure the people she communicates with are ones to be trusted before she really opens up to someone. She wasn't always like this however, and that's how her story begins.

As a child, Yumico was a bright young girl. Always so smart and full of positivity, always wanting to explore the Ocean and find the many creatures of the sea. Her parents being her biggest supporters through that, as they worked with Marine Biology themselves and ran an Aquarium.

This only intrigued Yumicos interest in the sea, which led to her going on Boat Rides to go Scuba Diving with her parents. However, one day during one of their trips...

A hurricane passed over them and swept Yumico off the boat and almost led to her drowning in the ocean, only to be thankfully saved by a group of Dolphins. Once she was rescued, she was stranded on an island for some time. Only to be thankfully saved after a day or so, but. She had nowhere to go.

She was transferred to a strict all girls home, that physically and mentally broke her by the day more and more. If she was to ever try reading anything about her occupation and interests, she would be hit with a ruler on the Knuckles. If she ever tried vocalizing her interest, she would be shouted at and downplayed. If she wasn't caught up on her homework, or following manners exactly as told? She would be relentlessly lashed out on.

It was always perfection they expected out of all their girls. Perfection being merely a definition in their eyes for bold and brash, when in reality it was to be cold hearted and strict. Due to the damage they brought onto Yumico, she found herself struggling with her own image. She in some cases slit her own knees as a means to let out pent up rage. Just as a means to stop the bad thoughts in her mind. The suicidal images and thoughts she had, as a means to just stop the hell she endured.

The countless nights of crying herself to sleep. The countless days that passed waiting by the windows, hoping her parents would walk through the gates asking if they've seen their daughter.

Yet..Nothing.

She grew angry, and resentful of many things. Becoming cold and strict as a means to protect herself from letting others words hurt her. Until she met a boy named Barisuta Yamato, and began living with him out of the kindness in his heart to keep her safe from the hellish situation she was in previously. From there, she found her passion again for the underwater life, spending most nights doing all nighters as a means to do research.

However, she was reclusive to a lot of other humans. Scared to approach, but never showed it. Rather, put on a strict and leader like ego. She never wanted others to see the real her, in fear they would hurt her.

However, due to the countless amounts of research she donated to local aquariums, and the countless amounts of knowledge she shared with countless others about her passion. She got an invitation much like Barisuta.

An invitation to Extraordinary Minds Academy as the Ultimate Marine Biologist. She was ecstatic, yet...cautious. However, due to Barisutas charismatic nature, she decided to give it a chance. Not just for him and their future, but for herself to become more social. A new chance to maybe meet extraordinary people like her, and get to make new connections.

However...Would she find people who were as extraordinary and cared, or would this be the place she loses everything and gives into despair?
