Nora was walking through the school grounds. She was going to the stables. She felt calm. But it was too calm. She didn't like medication.

She walked into the stables. Czeslaw was feeding the horses, humming to himself. She went and hugged him from behind. She felt him flinch, though he relaxed seeing who it was.

"Hey, Nor, what's up?" Czeslaw asked, patting Nora

"I want to run away. With you." She replied

"Aww. That'd be nice." Czeslaw said dreamily

"I'm serious, Czeslaw." Nora said, "I want to. I have a plan. Sort of."

"Seems risky. We can stay here and still be together you know" Czeslaw said

"It's not about that, it's just-" she sighed, "I'm done with the life of royalty. I want to live normally. I want to go somewhere with you, where we can."

"So you wanna flee the country?" Czeslaw asked

"Not in those exact words. But yes." Nora said

Czeslaw nodded in understanding.

"I get you have a good job here and such. One you enjoy too. You probably also have family who sent you here and such, but think about it?" Nora asked

"All the family I have is my mother. She works here too. She'd probably be okay" Czeslaw said, "She wanted to send me abroad for school when I was a kid actually. I refused to go. She'd be happy to know I wanted it. I just don't know if I want to leave her."

"Well. Think about it? Please?" Nora asked

Czeslaw nodded, "I will"

Czeslaw walked through the halls of the staff dormitory. He was walking to get to his mother's room.

When he got there, he knocked lightly, opening the door and going in.

"Mom?" He asked

She was there, hair up in a ponytail, painting. She was the art teacher here at the school. It was her passion.

"Czeslaw! Come in, tell me what you think of this" she said, getting up and waving him over

Czeslaw closed the door, going over. She was painting. He went over and saw a sunrise. It was over an ocean. A boat there, going through the water.

"It's really pretty" Czeslaw said

"What does it make you see? Feel?" She asked

"It makes me see a sunrise and a boat. I feel nice because it's pretty?" Czeslaw answered

"Sometimes, I wonder how you're my son," she joked, lightly ruffling his hair, "you take after your father a bit too much sometimes."

Czeslaw nodded slightly.

"So, what's up?" his mother asked, getting back to painting

"I've been thinking," He started, sitting down, "about school."

That brought her full attention to him.

"What about school?" she asked

"I think I want to go abroad. Like you wanted me to. But I'm not sure yet." Czeslaw said

"Really?" she asked

"Yes." He replied

"Okay, well. We should talk about it first. There are a lot of places you can go, a lot of different schools. We'll figure it out." She said

"Okay, sounds good." Czeslaw said with a smile

Czeslaw got up, his mother gave him a look.

"That's it?" she asked

"Yeah" he said, "I'm gonna go ride Daisy for a little"

"Well, alright then" she replied

Czeslaw left the room, leaving his mother there to keep painting. He pulled out his phone, texting Nora.

'We can go soon. My mom and I are gonna set me up in a school then we can go there and then you can transfer there.'

He put his phone away right as she replied.

'Okay great! I'm gonna head to the stables in a few, meet you there?'

'Yeah, that works'

Czeslaw smiled, walking towards the stables. He never really showed interest in school. He understood things slowly most of the time, dyslexia didn't help, but could go far once he did. He learned a little through tutoring he was in until he turned 14. He wondered if school would be hard, but shook the thought away once he was at the stables.

"So, there's a school I know is good. It's in North America. They take exchange students from anywhere in the world and with any background. I don't think you'll be the only one" Czeslaw's mother was telling him

He sat at the table where the two were eating dinner, half spaced out as she spoke about schools and grade averages there. He didn't particularly care what school he went to. Just as long as Nora could too.

"Would that work?" she asked

"Yeah, sounds fun" he said

"I'm glad you're looking to expand your schooling." she said

"Yeah"

"Just call me every day when you go"

"I will"

"You have to send in your one week notice to the school tomorrow too"

"I know"

She smiled, reaching over, ruffling his hair, getting up to kiss his head.

"I'm gonna miss you." she said

"Me too, mom, me too" Czeslaw replied
