Emilio was right. The studying left no room for any distraction, no matter what Damien tried. Even while walking in.
Damien knocked on the door, waiting for a response.
"Come in!" He shouted
Damien did, "Hey, Emi"
"Hi"
There were textbooks strewn on the floor. The table had been moved. He had a five subject notebook open, scribbling notes in. His headphones were in. There was an unopened bag of chips at his side. Damien walked over after closing the door, hugging Emilio from behind, sitting there. He kissed his cheek.
"Emilioooo?" Damien asked
"Hi, what is it?" Emilio replied, not looking up for a second
"Mmmm, I want attention from my boyfriend." Damien complained
"I told you what this was gonna be like" Emilio replied
"Could I at least have a kiss?" Damien asked
Emilio gave Damien a kiss, looking back down at his stuff. Damien chuckled, hugging him. Damien took one of his earbuds, Emilio didn't complain. They stayed quiet like this, enjoying their coexistence. Damien hadn't slept much the night before, ending up falling asleep there.

Emilio only realized when there was a weight on his back. He glanced back to see a sleeping Damien. He didn't move him. They stayed like that. Emilio kept studying. Once he finished, he glanced back at Damien. He was still there, arms loosely around Emilio's waist. Emilio kissed Damien's head.
Now was the task at hand. Try to get Damien onto the couch or something. He slowly pulled Damien up. He basically dragged him to the couch, pushing him up. Again. Damien the log. Emilio organized a bit. He put the table back, stacking the books and notebook. He then went, starting to cook.
At some point, Damien had woken up. He only knew because Damien hugged him from behind, pushing his head into Emilio's neck again. Emilio chuckled up to him.
"Morning, sleeping beauty. Making us dinner." Emilio said
"God, you're the best" Damien said quietly, kissing his cheek before going back to his place at Emilio's neck
Emilio knew his own voice got deep when tired, but Damien's, already a bit more naturally deep, was very low.
"I know" Emilio told him
Damien watched Emilio cook. Emilio hummed quietly.
"How'd you learn to cook this good?" Damien asked
"Practice and Google" Emilio replied
Damien nodded. Emilio hummed quietly. Damien shut his eyes and they existed like that.
"Could you grab some plates?" Emilio asked
"Mmmm, fine" Damien replied, going to grab some plates
"Get 4, my siblings are showing" Emilio told him
"Oh, that explains the food" Damien said, grabbing them
Emilio kept an eye on the food. Damien stopped.
"So. Your brother and my sister are friends, could I invite her?" Damien asked
"Of course" Emilio replied
Damien looked for his phone for a second. Emilio glanced up to him.
"On the table in the living room" Emilio said
"Thanks" Damien replied
Damien texted Anna. She agreed to show. Damien went and continued to set the table. Emilio was still humming and Damien listened quietly. He smiled at his handiwork. It looked pretty nice. Emilio shut off the oven, wiping his hands on a kitchen towel.
Emilio smiled, wrapping his arms around Damien's neck, "We're acting like a married couple"
"We can become a married couple" Damien replied, then kissing Emilio
They smiled at each other.
"I wouldn't recommend fucking around with words like that y'know" Emilio told him
"Who said I was fucking around?" Damien asked
They looked at each other for a moment. Emilio half thought Damien would get on one knee right then and there.
But luckily, the door swung open and there came Lukas and Carla.
"Hi 'Mili!" Carla ran over, hugging Emilio
He picked her up, smiling, "Hi, Carly"
"Oh! Hi, Damien!" Carla said
"Hi, Carla"
"You study too hard sometimes, 'Mili" Lukas started
"Hello to you too dear brother" Emilio told him
Lukas gave him a hug.
"I have drama to talk about" Lukas said
"Oh, fun" Emilio replied, putting Carla down and hugging his brother, ruffling his hair
