Prologue

Flora Abernathy was a romantic. She wanted a romance like her mother and father. They were muggles who met on a vacation in Spain and got married two years later. Her name Flora was a mix of her mother's name, Florence and fathers name, Ezra. Unfortunately her mother died when she was only two weeks old. Her father remarried when she was two only because he felt she needed a mother figure in her life. He failed to realize how much his new wife, Karla, hated his daughter. She only ever loved her own twin daughters, Catherine and Kimberly, who were born when Flora was three. 

Ezra Abernathy died when Flora was ten, leaving her with her step mother. She treated her poorly and it only increased when on the night of Flora's eleventh birthday, they were visited by Professor Minerva Mcgonagall and informed that Flora was a witch. Her step mother and half sisters were disgusted by her.

Hogwarts was Flora's happy place. It was her home, as she liked to call it. Her step mother and half sisters could not trouble her here and she actually had friends.

She had four friends who were her everything. She met Lily Evans, a fellow muggle born on the Hogwarts Express when she came to her compartment after having a fight with some boys about her friend, Severus Snape in her previous one. They became friends fast when later, they were both sorted in Gryffindor during the ceremony. Both the girls made friends with Marlene McKinnon, Alice Fortescue and Evanna Deshiel, their roommates and now in their fifth year, they were inseparable just like the marauders.

Flora absolutely hated her summer vacations, so she decided to make enchanted diaries for all her friends since sending owls took a lot of time. Through the enchanted diaries, they could talk with each other whenever they wanted. It was the start of fifth year and she decided to make five diaries and give them to her friends on Christmas. She had only managed to make two when one was stolen by that insufferable and annoying idiot. Normally she was the sweetest person in the room but that person had taken her most prized creation and she was pissed. Now she only had one aim. To find who stole her diary and make them pay.
