Flora was running and she did not give up till she reached the common room and her legs gave up. She fell on the sofa and started crying. Marlene went to bring her some water. Lily went to her as Alice kept her hand comfortingly on her shoulders. “He called me a mudblood!” she exclaimed and Evanna hugged her. They were all extremely saddened by everything that went down. “ It’ll be alright,” Lily said soothingly. The girls accompanied her to their room where Flora fell asleep immediately.
They had the Transfiguration exam next. It was their last and Flora was extremely happy. She was glad she would get to go home after all that happened. She would rather prefer Karla and her half sisters over this.
After their last exams, Severus had approached her. She was apprehensive at first but she went with him. He told her about Edward and that he was miserable after what happened. It was true. He had approached her multiple times after the incident to apologize but Flora always ignored him. She had had enough of everyone always bullying her. She hated Edward for what he called her. She remembered when in their first year, someone had called her a mudblood and then, Edward was the one who comforted her. “They don’t know that you are the most loveliest person on this earth. They are idiots to call you that.” he had said. What happened to that Edward, Flora wondered.
She talked with Severus for a while but she refused to talk about Edward even when Snape tried to tell her that Edward had only said that because his brother and his friends were watching. Flora said that that was a cowardly thing to do and that was it. She talked with Severus about her exams and left to join her friends.
She saw the marauders in the common room and immediately regretted leaving Severus so soon. James looked at her as if to approach her but she glared at him. His friends stopped him after that. She had started ignoring James once again. This time it was even worst than when she had slapped him.
The girls had packed their bags and were ready to leave for their homes. Evanna was going to Sweden with her family to visit her relatives who lived there. Lily was going to France with her family and she was very excited. She had a very good relationship with her older sister and always missed her at Hogwarts. They wrote to each other non stop and Lily was always excited for vacations so she could meet her sister.
Flora was dreading going back to her home. Her plan of the Enchanted Diaries had failed miserably and she didn’t even have time to make more. She delegated the task to next year. Too much happened this year.
Leaving Hogwarts for summers was always the saddest part for Flora. First, she absolutely hated the idea of going back to her home and Second, she had come to see Hogwarts as her real home. Ever since her parents had died, she never had a real home until she came to Hogwarts. She loved the castle, the grounds, Hogsmeade, the Black Lake, the Great Hall where she had had some of the most splendid feasts of her life. She loved all her friends and even the professors. They were her real family.
Flora sat at the Hogwarts Express with a smile on her face. She had her friends with her and they were all eating candies and enjoying their last moment together for a while.
