Chapter 33: The Order Of The Phoenix.

Many things changed in the few months after graduation. Many factors contributed to it. The first being that Flora and all her friends were adults now. The second was that there was a war brewing in the Wizarding World. There was a powerful dark wizard rallying up his own followers to take over the Wizarding and muggle world alike. 

Flora and her friends had decided to join The Order of the Phoenix, a secret organization formed by Dumbledore to fight Voldemort. Flora had to put her Quidditch ambitions aside till they win the war, she was hopeful for it. Flora was a muggle born, so was her friend Lily and they were both in danger due to the rising powers of the dark lord. 

Flora had gone to the Fortescue House after graduation as her initial plan was to join the international Quidditch team but after learning about the Order, her priorities changed. All her friends had joined the organization. Some readily and some reluctantly. Even Severus Snape had joined since he would be able to provide necessary information about people like Mulciber, Avery and even Edward, who were now death eaters. 

Edward had joined the death eaters right after graduation. The day he had got the Dark Mark was the first time his family had ever been proud of him.

James had decided not to start his Auror training yet and devote his full time to the Order. His idol, Alastor Moody was a part of the organisation too and James hoped to learn everything from him.

There were about forty members in the Order all risking their lives to protect their world. The love between Flora and James was ever growing as was the love between their friends, Mathias and Evanna, who were now engaged. 

Flora had met James' family, Euphemia and Fleamont multiple times after graduation since their relationship had become serious. It was sure that they would soon get married.

Mathias and Evanna had gotten engaged right after graduation. They were even planning a wedding in a few months. All their friends were extremely happy for them and so were their families.

Alice had told them a few months ago about her and Frank Longbottom dating. Alice had thought it would be a surprise to Flora, not realizing how obvious she had made it during the holidays. 

Severus had told Flora that he liked Lily and she was doing her best to get them together. She would not have tried if it weren't for her knowing that Lily too admired Severus although she didn't know about her romantic feelings. Severus had often gotten sad remembering about Edward, his former best friend, his only Slytherin friend in fact. Flora and Severus often talked about that. Edward Rosier. He had been a taboo in front of Flora but now, in a way, she had forgotten him. He was once her good friend but now he was just another stranger for her. She had been extremely hurt by his actions once but now she was more confident in herself. The word 'mudblood' didn't have the same meaning for her now. Now she knew what Flora was and she was not a mudblood.

The times were hard and the future was uncertain. Flora would never have thought that this would be her life after Hogwarts but she knew she wouldn't change it for the world. She had James and all her friends with her. For now, that was enough.
