It had been a few days since Harry arrived at Sirius's house for Christmas break. It was a shabby old place with not much liveliness. He was happy to see Sirius with his old friends though. Mathias, Evanna, Remus, Lily, Severus. All his friends were there and Sirius always had a smile on his face.

Harry had been meaning to talk with them for a while now and he decided today was the day. They were all sitting at the dining table. The six of them were talking about some Order stuff when Harry nervously approached them.

"Harry!" Remus was the first to notice him and then they all smiled at him.

"Sit down with us" Evanna said.

"I wanted to er…" he stopped trying to gather his thoughts. "To know about them." He said slowly.

"Your parents you mean." Lily said with a sad smile.

"Yeah. Like about that diary you gave me. You said mum made them. It was really brilliant. I use it all the time." He said excitedly and they all chuckled at that.

"That diary was the reason your mom and dad met." Sirius said.

"How?"

"They were flirting with each other through that diary" Mathias said laughing as Remus punched his arm.

"Oh, it was really romantic." Lily said, swooning. Harry smiled awkwardly.

They all told him the story about the enchanted diary and the ball. The whole search for mystery girl.

"Wow" was all Harry could say. He was bewildered. That was one heck of a story as Ron would later put it.

"I'd say they were meant for each other." Lily said.

"James was crazy about her even when he didn't realize it." Sirius added.

"All that time on his bed. Flora.. Flora.. Flora. I was dead tired of him honestly." Mathias said.

"As if you weren't the same." Remus said coughing. They all laughed.

"Flora was the same too. Only in her case it was always about how much she hated him." Said Evanna.

"I think she was just trying to convince herself that she didn't like him." Snape said thoughtfully.

"She didn't like him?" Harry asked, confused.

"At first." Sirius said.

"They fought a lot."

"And well she thought he was a bit big headed… which he was." Severus said.

"But he changed for her. Didn't he? Even stopped troubling Rosier." Evanna said even though she knew Rosier was a sensitive topic among them.

Lily glanced at her husband. "Yeah. He became mature in seventh year. I couldn't believe it at first." She said hastily to avoid Srverus feeling too uncomfortable.

"What about Professor Rosier?" Harry said, still hung up on how Professor Rosier was related to all this.

"Oh he was….. er.. friends with your mother." Sirius said.

"He was? Isn't his brother in Azkaban. He was a death eater too." Harry said confused about how his mother was friends with him.

"Edward is not a death eater, Harry." Remus said. "Yes. His brother, Felix, is in Azkaban but Edward's got nothing to do with it. He and Felix drifted apart after their father died." Remus said defending Edward.

"Oh… well. He was mums friend." Harry said.

"Yeah. And ours too." Lily said, pointing to her and Severus.

"Oh okay." He said. They then told him all about how Flora wanted to be a professional Quidditch player and James, an auror. It saddened their mood, a bit. Thinking about what could've been. Flora was always saying that the war would end soon and she would pursue her dreams of Quidditch. She never thought that she wouldn't be alive after the war ended.

They also talked about Alice and Frank Longbottom. Their other friends who couldn't make it to the table. They fought bravely and were put up in St. Mungos after the cruciatus curse. They told him about how Flora stayed at Alice's and considered the Fortescue's her family and all the time they all spent together.

"Let me tell you about when James proposed to Flora." Mathias said when he sensed the sadness in everybody. He wanted to lighten up the mood.

He told him all about the day James proposed to Flora and even their wedding.

"He was an idiot." Severus said smiling.

"Honestly." Evanna added.

"I love them so much." Sirius said and he was crying by now. They all hugged each other.
