The Gryffindor team had thought initially that after the date and getting together with James, Flora would be a little less hard on them but they were all proved wrong when one day Flora conjured the team after practice and told them to practice extra hard and increase the practice timings for the upcoming Hufflepuff match. The Hufflepuff team was excellent. Their Beaters were extra efficient and their Seeker was a very excellent player from an entire family of Quidditch players. Flora did not want to lose the game at any cost, especially by underestimating the Hufflepuff team.

The practice continued to be extra hard in the days leading up to the match. The day had finally arrived and Flora was ready for the battle.

“Captains, shake hands,” Madam Hooch instructed. “Mount your brooms. On the whistle.. three… two.. one..”

The whistle sounded and all the players kicked off hard from the ground. Flora soared through the players, easily diving the bludgers being thrown her way (she was excellent at doing that due to her smooth flying abilities) and scoring goals for her team.

Flora was busy attempting to get the Quaffle past the Hufflepuff seeker when she heard the faint voice of commentator through the headphone, “and I believe that Dumbledore has seen something.” he added after a pause “Mathias Dumbledore”.

She suddenly heard a big round of cheers and then noticed that Matty had caught the snitch. She flew right at him and gave him a big hug, only to be interrupted by a furious James Potter. They both rolled their eyes and got off their brooms.

“Party in the common room, Peter’s done the arrangements” came Sirius’s voice and the team happily dispersed to the common room.

It was a joyous affair and Flora could just see herself playing internationally for her country. That was her one big dream.

The next day, the Defence Against the Dark Arts Professor announced that he was gonna teach the patronus charm.

Flora knew it was one of the most powerful charms. Even some of the most qualified wizards have difficulty with it. It would be challenging but the class was excited on the prospects of learning something new.

"EXPECTO PATRONUM!" She screamed again and again and nothing happened. Their professor had told them to think of their happiest memory, something positive, and Flora tried with all her might to conjure something but the most she got was a silvery wisp.

The patronus classes had been going on for a three days and only a handful had successfully casted a corporeal patronus.

Flora was in the middle of another failed attempt when across the hall she saw a dazzling silver animal coming out of James's wand. She screwed up her eyes to see what it was. It took her a moment to figure out that it was a stag, the antlers being the feature that gave it away. His patronus was a stag.

James looked towards Flora and smiled. She gave him a thumbs up. She was glad he was able to do it, not yet knowing that the happiest moment he was thinking about was when Flora came to his house on Christmas and got along really well with his parents. That day when he saw what his future will be like. Flora being a part of his family. That's all he wanted.

James went to Flora and she gave him a hug. "That was brilliant!" She screamed at him. He I'd not want to tell her yet about his happiest moment. He would wait for a perfect time.

Day five of the Patronus class was when flora successfully casted her patronus. A corporeal patronus. She almost cried after seeing it. It was really beautiful. It had taken the form of a doe. "A doe" she whispered again, finally realizing what it meant.

She was shocked to say the least. She turned towards James who was standing a few feet away with Remus and Mathias. He was already looking at her. He had a look of pure love on his face.

That's it. A stag and a doe. They were meant for each other. They were meant to spend the rest of their lives together.

It was later in the evening and Flora and James were sitting together near the Black lake.

"Do you think we would be here like this if it weren't for that diary?" Flora asked.

"Yes," James replied confidently.

"What makes you so sure?"

"Because we are meant to be," he took hold of her hands. "Soulmates. We would have found each other no matter what." He was looking her in the eyes. Those beautiful eyes.

She smiled and kissed him. "Soulmates." She whispered.
