Chapter 9

Mira's POV:

The doorbell rang and I wondered who was at our house at this hour. I was in the kitchen making roti because my aunt eats like a pig.

"Mira get the door!" My aunt shouts as she sits comfortably on the dining table with her children.

My uncle decided to go on a work trip out of nowhere and left me with his devil family. My aunt has been extra harsh on me since.

I rushed to the door as soon as I took one roti off the stove. I placed the plate on the dining table and rushed to open the door.

The second I opened the door, my eyes widened in shock. Aryan was standing in front of me with his sister on his side.

"Who is it idiot?" My aunt shouted. Aryan looked concerned when he heard my aunt."What're you doing here?" I asked him.

"You not gonna let me in?" He pouted as he leaned against the doorway. His sister rolled her eyes at him.

My aunt must've sent Mehek to get me because she squealed behind me. "Suhana!" She shouted before pulling her in.

Aryan made his way in as well, flashing me a big smile. They greeted my aunt who was absolutely flushed.

"Sorry aunty we distributed you" Suhana said. "No no you are most welcome" She replied with a fake smile.

"Actually we wanted to make sure all of your kids are coming tomorrow" Suhana said. I watched Mehek fawn over Aryan.

"Hi" Mehek stood close to Aryan, too close. "Uh hey" Aryan said awkwardly. "You're prince right?" She asked.

"Prince?" My aunt said. "Ya ma everyone in B-wood calls him prince khan" She told her. "Can I?" She asked with a pout.

"Yeah sure why not" Aryan said. "So prince will you be at the party?" My aunt asked him sweetly. Gross.

"Aunty of course why would I invite Mira then?" My eyes almost popped out when he told her.

They looked at me together and I almost choked on my own saliva. "Mira told me she couldn't go" Aryan said.

"But Suhana said that Mehek and Rehan are going" Suhana nodded and smiled at them. "I figured Mira is also coming" He pointed out.

"I mean aunty, you're obviously not the type of person to be bias right?" He said with a smirk.

"Mira has always told me how much you take care of her and how you never differentiate her from your children" Huh?

"That's the kind of family we like to be associated with" He told her. My aunt chuckled awkwardly.

"Yes yes of course Mira is going" She said. I couldn't believe when she gave me her permission.

"I know Mira knows how to take care of herself just like my children" She gave me a look that I knew was a warning.

"Well then that's all we wanted to know" Suhana said. "Sorry if we disturbed you" She apologised again.

"Not a problem. Please come again" She told them. Fake bitch. "I'll see you tomorrow" Suhana said to Mehek and Rehan.

"And I'll see you tomorrow" Aryan smiled at me and I nodded. "With a little less snow on you hopefully" He joked.

I looked at him confused and gave him a look. "This" He brought his fingers to my cheek and brushed a little flour off my face. Fuck.

I smiled and said thanked him. Once they left, I faced my aunt and my cousins. "I swear I said no he must've assumed" I defended.
