I smiled at my phone when I saw Suhana's Instagram story. "Wow she looks drop dead gorgeous" I turned to show Rehan who was struggling to put on a tie.

"You sure you're old enough for the dance?" I asked him. "You know since you're acting like a child" He looked at me annoyed and I just snorted at his expression.

Tonight was the night of the dance and also the night our deal ends. I didn't know how I had held it together for so long.

I had been constantly ignoring Aryan the past couple of days because I kept feeling guilty and I was scared that if I spend more than two minutes alone with him I will blurt out the truth and he would hate me.

"Here I'll help" I tossed my phone on his bed and started on Rehan's tie. Mehek rudely barged into the room and gave us a strange look. "You guys have been getting awfully close to each other" She eyed us.

I just ignored her and finished off his tie. "Shut up Mehek" Rehan told her. "You don't get to show me attitude now that you're going out with Suhana Khan" She spat out.

I shuddered at how much she resembles her mother especially when she can't have something she wants. "Aryan could've joined me but someone got her crummy hands all over him" She taunted.

I grabbed my phone and made my way out. I have learnt how to avoid her at all costs. I did smile when I heard Rehan's response on my way out of the room.

"I don't think Aryan is the type to take a little sister to a dance which is what you are to him" I giggled to myself before I ran up.

I let out a yelp and immediately covered my mouth before any of my family members heard me downstairs. Aryan laid on my bed laughing silently at me. "What're doing here?" I asked him in a hushed tone.

I made sure to lock my door before climbing in the bed with him. "My parents are making a huge deal out of Suhana's dance and I can't deal with it anymore" I chuckled. "I saw her story she looks beautiful" He nodded.

"Rehan is going over there right now" I told him. "Better keep his hands to himself" I rolled my eyes. "But seriously why are you here?" I asked. "Missed you" He simply said.

"My aunt is back you can't do this" I told him.
He sat up and took my hand in his. "Are we okay?" He asked me. "What do you mean?" It was getting quite difficult to compose myself.

"It's just you've been really distant lately" He said. "You haven't been returning all my calls..." My breathing started to quicken. "...You barely text and you never have time to meet me" He completed.

"Did I do something wrong? Did I hurt your feelings? Please tell me" He begged. My guilt worsened. Aryan was being an angel. He kept thinking he had done something horrible to me and that's why I was angry.

He started to notice I was panicking and he immediately comforted me. "Hey hey what's wrong" He pushed away the few strands of hair that were covering my face.

"Come here" He brought me to his chest and held me close while he rubbed my back. Tears fell down my cheeks and I couldn't take it anymore. I had to tell him. "Aryan" I let out.

"Hm?" His chest vibrated against me and I realised this would probably be the last time I'll lay on him. I let myself enjoy a few more moments before I pushed myself off him.

"I–I have to tell you something" I wiped my tears. He shifted on the bed and was now seating at the edge. Before I could start my aunt knocked on the door. "Mira we're going out" She told me.

"Your cousins are gone to the dance and we'll be back late night" She informed me. I heard her footsteps recline from my bedroom.

I walked to my window and saw my aunt and uncle get in their car and drive off. I turned back to Aryan who was still sitting on my bed in confusion.

I walked over to him and grabbed his face. Our lips connected into a passionate kiss as I held him close. Aryan pulled us away.

"You're scaring me tell me what happened" He demanded. "Okay" I said softly. I took a few steps away from him before I started my confession. "I–I made a deal" I told him.

"What kind of deal? With who?" He asked with concern. "With Rehan" He furrowed his brow in confusion. "About what?" He asked.

"Rehan had seen you climb into my room several times and he threatened to tell my aunt" Aryan listened carefully. I fiddled with my fingers with nervousness.

"He told me he wouldn't say anything if I did something for him" I couldn't meet Aryan's eyes because I was too embarrassed. "And so I did" Tears continued to fall down my cheeks.

"What exactly did you do?" I could sense the change in tone in his voice. It was getting serious and impatient. "He wanted to take Suhana to the dance" I confessed.

"So I–" "So you set my little sister up as part of a deal?!" He yelled. I squeezed my eyes shut. "What kind of a person does that?!" His loud voice must've filled the entire house.

"What the fuck is wrong with you?! That's my sister and after everything I've told you abo–how could you?!" I had no answer for that. I heard his footsteps as he walked towards me.

He gripped onto my arms. "Look at me" I opened my eyes and looked at his face. I hadn't realised how it would feel to look at his face which was filled with hurt and anger.

"Did you think Rehan was good for her?" He asked. I bit the inside of my cheek and shook my head. He let go off my roughly and I looked away. I heard the door open and slam back shut loudly.
