Mira
I couldn't sleep. I kept tossing and turning in my bed uncomfortably. Every time I shut my eyes I would see Aryan's face and it would remind me of how much I hurt him.

I finally gave up after what felt like hours and sat up on my bed. I looked at the time and groaned when I saw it was only two in the morning. The night was going by too slowly.

If it was the day, I could distract myself with all the work around the house. I got out of bed and walked downstairs as quietly as I could. I needed some tea to calm myself.

"What're you doing?" I gasped loudly when I heard a voice. I almost dropped the pot in my hand but the person reached out to grab it before it could fall to the ground and wake everyone in the house.

"Relax it's me" Rehan said and I sighed in relief. I took the pot from his hand and looked at him. "You were out?" I asked. "Yeah" He climbed on the counter and sat down.

"What're you making?" He asked. "Chai" I told him as I poured some water into the pot. "Can I have some?" I closed the pot. "You don't drink chai" I reminded him.

"Just feel like having it" He shrugged. "Okay" I said. I put the pot on the stove and turned it on before taking out two teacups. "So where were you?" I asked to break the silence.

"I went to see Suhana" He said bluntly. "Oh" was all I could let out. "Did you see Aryan?" I couldn't help but ask. "Would I be alive if I did?" He asked sarcastically.

"Thanks to you of course" He muttered. "He needed to know" I told him. "Could've asked me first" He said. "Wouldn't have made a difference" I reasoned.

I turned the stove off and picked up the pot with a cloth. "Yes it would've" He argued. "If you handle something the right way it always works out" I looked at him with a raised brow.

"Feeling philosophical are we?" I said as I poured the tea into the cups. "Shut up it's true" He said. I gave him the sugar pot and a spoon. "It worked you know" He said.

"What worked?" I mixed the sugar in my tea while he added into his. "I talked to Suhana and explained to her everything calmly" He said. "And she believed me" He took a sip.

"She did?" I asked. "I was going to tell her anyways I was just waiting for after the dance because she was excited about it" I drank as he explained.

"I'm sorry" I said softly. "I didn't think it through. I just couldn't take the lies anymore" He nodded. "I get it and I was unfair to you I'm sorry" He apologised.

"Actually the entire family is unfair to you and I apologise for all of them" I shook my head. "Don't do that" I told him. "It's like letting them off the hook" I said.

"You apologised and I forgive you" I said. "I'll forgive the rest of them when they apologise for themselves" I told him. We drank in silence before heading upstairs.

"Hey" Rehan leaned against the doorway of my room. "You should talk to Aryan it's just a misunderstanding" I fixed my blanket. "I don't think he'll ever listen to me" Rehan walked in.

"That's what I thought for Suhana" He said. "I thought she will never hear me out but she did because I went there and talked to her" He told me.

"So you want me to go to their house?" I asked. "Something like that" He said as if he was thinking of a plan. "Be ready tomorrow at six we're gonna go out" He told me.

"What about your mom and Mehek?" I asked. He thought for a moment. "I have a plan for that don't worry" He said. "Just be ready" I couldn't say anything else because he walked out of my room.

It was almost six in the evening. I had made sure to distract myself throughout the day with all the chores of the house because I didn't want to spare a single second to Aryan.

"Come on Mira" I looked at my door in disbelief. I thought Rehan and I were just going to sneak out but he was shouting from the living room for everyone to hear.

I grabbed my phone and rushed downstairs. I looked at him in confusion and so did Mehek and my aunt. "Where are you two going?" My aunt asked.

"This cafe" Rehan said. "What cafe I want to go" Mehek whined. "No I'm going with my friends" Rehan told her. "But she's going?" Mehek asked.

"Why is she going Rehan?" My aunt asked. "I need her" Rehan said. "The cafe is only for 16 plus unless there is someone to accompany" Rehan explained while I just stood there.

"I don't want her to go but my friends and I have no one else" He said. "Can we go now?" He whined. "She literally just has to sit there" He told them.

"Okay go" My aunt said. Mehek looked at me. "You're definitely taking me and my friends you here me" She said rudely. "Is she dumb?" I asked Rehan as we stepped out.

"There is no such cafe" I said. "She isn't the brightest" I snorted. "Where are we going?" I asked. "You ask too many questions" He told me. "Just follow me" He said.
