Chapter 32

Rehan
I was thankful the security guard recognised me and let me into their bungalow. I figured if Suhana wouldn't talk to me over the phone then I'll just have to talk to her in person.

I couldn't risk Aryan knowing I was here because I was sure he would make sure I end up in the hospital. Their house is huge and it was late at night so sneaking around wasn't difficult at all.

I saw a few staff members around but they didn't pay much attention because I had been in this house on many occasions. They possibly assumed I was here for Suhana which technically I was.

I sneaked past Aryan's room which is right next to Suhana's room and entered the quietly. Her room was dimly lit, only a night light in the corner of her room.

I walked around carefully, making sure I don't make too much noise. Suhana wasn't in her room but I heard the shower behind a door. I waited for her to get out of the bathroom.

Several minutes went by and I finally heard the running water stop. I was sat on her bed right in front of the bathroom door. I didn't know how she would react to me being here.

The light from the bathroom slowly filled the bedroom as Suhana opened the door and stepped out of the bathroom in just her towel. I quickly got up and rushed to her so I could cover her mouth before she screamed.

The screams were muffled by my hand and I held onto her tightly while she tried to squirm her way out of my grip. "Shh don't freak out please" I whispered in her ear.

Suhana eventually stopped squirming and relaxed in my arms. It was not until then that I realised how close we were. Only the material from her towel was keeping us apart.

She must've noticed and started to back away quickly. I let go off her and she ran into her walk-in closet. I waited for a few minutes before she came out wearing her sweats.

"What do you want?" She asked me with a stern voice. "I just want to explain" I told her. She scoffed and rolled her eyes. "I don't need your explanation" She walked away from me.

"I just think you should know my side of the story and then you can decide on your own" I reasoned with her. She took a moment to think. "Fine make it quick" She told me.

"I don't know what exactly you know..." I started. "...but let me just tell you from the start" She sat down on her bed and listened. I stood in front of her and told her everything.

"From the moment I first saw you, I haven't been able to stop looking at you" I knew from her face she didn't believe me although I was telling the truth.

"I've noticed everything about you and I know that sounds creepy" I told her. "The way you start talking really fast when you get excited about something" She took a long breath.

"The way your nose scrunches up slightly when you're laughing" She crossed her leg. "Your obsession with ice cream" I moved closer to her.

"The way you pretend you're so strong but hate horror movies" I moved closer. "I'm telling you all this because I don't want you to think I don't pay attention to you" I said.

"I don't want you to think I only wanted to be your date for the dance" I told her. "I want you to know how much I like you and every moment I spent with you I told the truth"

I felt her shift in her seat. "I know I was wrong to Mira to do this" I confessed. "I shouldn't have taken advantage of her" I bent down on my knees in front of her.

"But I didn't think you'd ever notice me and I was afraid I'd never get to tell you my feelings" I confessed. "I'm sorry I hurt your feelings I meant no harm" I told her.

"This was my side of the story" I got up. "I didn't want even a slightest chance of you not knowing how I truly felt" She didn't say anything. "I'll leave you alone now" I said.

Before I walked out of that bathroom, I had no intention of listening to Rehan. I got tired of waiting for my phone to stop ringing so I just switched it off and went for a shower.

When I stepped out, I almost had a heart attack when I saw him in my room. If his hand wasn't covering my mouth I would've yelled so loudly my entire family would've rushed up.

Rehan had just told me his side of the story. I was still mad at him for taking such a drastic and idiotic step but I could tell he was being genuine about his feelings.

"Wait" I said and I watched him turn around in hope. He was almost at the door, about to walk out of my life. "I forgive you" I told him and his face lit up.

I held my hand out. "But" His smile paused when he sensed my tone. "I'm still angry. You shouldn't have done something like this and I will dump you so hard if you ever do anything like that ever again" I said with a stern voice.

"I understand" He said with a smile. "Good now get out of my house before my brother sees you" I warned him. "Right okay bye I'll text you" He quickly said before he rushed out of my room.
