Tears were constantly falling down my cheeks as I tried to gasp for air. Aryan had left about an hour ago and I was left alone in the empty house feeling like my heart just ripped out.

I heard the front door swing open and tried to soften my cries. I couldn't let my aunt or uncle hear me and ask questions. I wasn't in the mood to be interrogated.

I sunk into the side of the bed as I tried to contain myself. I jumped up when my room door swung open. I quickly wiped my tears before I turned around to the doorway.

Rehan stood there with anger plastered on his face. My heart sank because I knew Aryan had told him everything. "What did you tell him?" He asked me. I gulped and backed away.

"Mira I asked you a question" He stood his ground and towered over me. "I-I told him the truth he deserved to know" Rehan shut his eyes in frustration. "What the fuck Mira?!"

"It's not fair for them" I told him. "You got your date I held my end of the deal" Rehan shook his head. "He took her away from the dance so no you didn't" He said.

"Which means I don't need to hold the end of my deal" My eyes widened. "No no please no your mom can never find out" I begged him multiple times.

"Why did you do this?" He asked me. "I couldn't lie anymore" I scooted towards him. "Could you?" I asked. "No" I was surprised by his answer. "But I wanted to tell her myself"

"You just wanted the date" I said but it was more of a reminder for me than him. I always assumed it was just for the dance. "No it wasn't" He told me.

That was when it hit me. Rehan may have actually liked Suhana and I ruined it for him and for myself. "Did you really like her?" I asked him.

He looked at me angrily. "What am I not able to like someone?" I flinched at his raised voice. "Am I not capable of feelings?" He ranted out.

"What's happening here?" We both whipped our heads towards the door and our eyes widened when we saw my aunt standing at the doorway eyeing us.

We were both so immersed in our conversation that we didn't hear his parents come in through the front door. Rehan and I exchanged a look.

"I asked you both something" She interrupted the silence in the room. "I was just asking her something" Rehan mumbled. My aunt looked at me and I just nodded like an idiot.

"What were you asking her about?" She pried further. "If she could make me a snack" He said without thinking. "And I was just asking him what he wants" I added.

"Where's Mehek?" She asked. "At the dance" My aunt came to attention. "You left your sister at the dance?" Rehan realised what he had done. "She wanted to stay her friend will drop her" He quickly said.

"Why are you back so early?" She asked as if she knew Rehan was hiding something. "Got bored. Dances are lame" He said. "Make me a sandwich" He told me before he walked out.

Why didn't he just rat me out? Why did he bother saving me? "What're you waiting for?" My aunt asked. "Go make him a sandwich" She told me.

"You're getting lazier every day" She taunted as I walked down the stairs with her behind me. I rushed to the kitchen to get away from her constant taunts.

Rehan
I threw my phone on my bed in frustration when Suhana cut my call for the tenth time. I really wanted to give her a proper explanation for everything that had happened.

I had no clue what exactly she knew at that moment. I didn't even know what Mira had told Aryan. I needed to talk to her so that I can explain it to her properly.

I walked around my room in frustration because I didn't know how to get in contact with her. She had refused to talk to me and was clearly upset.

I just didn't want her to think that my feelings for her weren't genuine. I walked over to the bed and grabbed my phone once again and dialled her number.

I shut my eyes as I listened to the operating voice on the phone. Suhana had switched of her phone. I didn't see any other way to talk to her so I picked up my jacket and walked out the door.

Mira
I finished up the sandwich and cleared the kitchen. I made sure that everything in the kitchen was neatly put away because I didn't need any taunts from my aunt.

I sighed in relief when I noticed that my aunt wasn't in the living room. I heard the front door close and figured it was my uncle going out for his night walk.

I knocked on Rehan's door even though I knew he didn't want to see my face. I knew he wouldn't answer so I took the plate back to the kitchen and placed it in the fridge.

I tried to call Aryan again once I entered my room but I had no luck. He wasn't picking up any of my calls and I wasn't surprised when he eventually blocked my number.

I really wish I could give him an explanation and make everything better but I knew he wouldn't listen so easily. How can I face him ever again?
