I stared at the plain ceiling as I laid on my bed. I had just come home from after what happened at Mira's house.

Suhana's party had died down already and everyone was leaving. I saw Mira's cousins walk out of our house as I was walking in.

The door opened loudly and Suhana barged in. "I am so tired" She started rambling on about the details of the party and I couldn't care less.

I just kept staring at the ceiling lost in my thoughts. "And our neighbours they are so annoying" I heard her say.

"So uptight and egoistic" She exclaimed. "I hope Mira isn't like that" She said. "Not at all" I finally spoke up.

Suhana jumped at my annoyed tone and looked at me confused. "Alright damn" She mumbled.

"Sorry I just–never mind" I just shook my head and went back to my old position. "No no what? Also why are you home so early?" She asked, looking over at the clock.

I just shook my head and didn't say anything. "Bhaiyya" She said in a serious tone. I lightly chuckled at her attempt to be stern with me.

"You know I'm the older one right?" She rolled her eyes at my sarcasm. "Spill" She demanded.

I took a deep breath before telling her the whole story of tonight. "You did what?!" She looked at me with absolute shock.

"I wasn't going to go ahead with it" I tried to defend myself. "I was going to tell her eventually–"

"Bhaiyya" She raised her brow. I sighed loudly and let my head drop against the headboard. "I fucked up" I said as I shut my eyes.

"Also her aunt is a bitch" I added. "Her aunt?" I nodded and told her about what happened at the house.

Although I left out the details of her aunt hitting her. "No wonder her children are like that" She pointed out, connecting the dots.

"You should go apologise" She said softly. We were sat in silence and she spoke up after a couple of minutes.

"She doesn't want to see me" I replied. "So?" I looked at her. "You need to make an effort to apologise and make things right" She told me.

"Now get your ass up and go" She scolded. "You're getting really mean you know" I said softly.

She rolled her eyes and attempted to push me off the bed as if she had the strength to move me.

"Alright I'm going" I finally caved and rose from my bed. I eyed her as she got comfortable in my bed.

"Come on it's getting late" She said smugly. She gestured for me to leave as she said, "Go go" I rolled my eyes and walked out.

Mira's POV

My aunt had just left my room a while ago. I lifted my body and sat against the edge of my bed.

That vile woman had come up to my room after Aryan had left. She was angrier than before because she thought I made Aryan see everything on purpose.

Aryan. I couldn't believe he had seen everything. I was so embarrassed when I saw him in my house.

After everything that happened tonight, I must've looked even more weaker and pathetic than before.

I never wanted to see Aryan again, mostly because he lied and used me but also because I didn't know how I could face him again.

I let my head fall back to the edge of my bed and rested my eyes. I didn't feel like moving any muscle so I just sat there, lifeless.

I heard some noises coming from my window. I ignored them not giving much thought on it.

I froze when I heard a light knock on the window. I carefully tried to opened my tired eyes.

Million thoughts ran through my head. I thought it might be a thief. My heart pounded against my chest as I slowly opened my eyes to look at the window.

When I finally did open my eyes, they just kept widening open out of shock.

I rubbed my eyes and squinted towards the window not believing what I was looking at. "Aryan?" I whispered to myself.

Aryan hung out from my window waiting for me to let him in. He gave me a soft smile and a timid wave but I just looked at him in shock.

I gasped when I saw him lose his balance and almost fall down. I hurried myself to my window and opened it.

Before I could say anything he climbed inside and dusted off his jeans. "Thought you would take till tomorrow" He said casually.

I smacked him and gestured him to speak softly. Realisation dawned upon him and he spoke in a hushed tone.

"Sorry" He said guiltily. "What are you doing here?" I scolded him in a whisper. "I came to check on you" He told me.

I noticed his soft expression which felt foreign on his face. I saw the pity in his eyes for me and I hated that.

"I don't need anyone to check on me" I told him angrily, still making sure my voice is kept low.

"Especially not you" I hit his chest with my finger. "Now get the fuck out of my house" I demanded.

"But–" I stopped him before he could say anything. "Look I don't need your pity nor your comfort" I told him.

"I don't need anything from you" I crossed my arms and stood my ground in front of him, waiting for him to leave my room.

"Alright no pity and no comfort but–" I couldn't believe he still had the nerve to say something.

"At least take my apology" He said softly. "I didn't mean for any of this to happen I promise" He tried to explain but I couldn't care less.

I didn't need anyone in my life before him and I don't anyone now either. "I said I don't need anything from you" I said with gritted teeth.

"Now get the fuck out" I demanded again. This time he just nodded. Within seconds he was out the window and I sighed in relief.
