I jumped when I heard a knock on the window. My eyes widened as I looked at the clock on the wall. Aryan was supposed to come to my room tonight for the project.

I stood there in shock because I was half naked. I was changing into another top because I didn't want Aryan to see me in a t-shirt with blood stains.

My t-shirt was placed on my bed and I tried to grab it without turning around. I patted the bed trying to get a hold of the t-shirt but to no avail.

Aryan

As soon as I reached Mira's window I immediately knocked on it. She told me she will be in her room so I figured she would open right away.

When no one opened the window I finally looked inside and saw Mira standing in the corner of the room.

Her room was dimly lit and her window was a little hazy so I couldn't figure out what was happening without squinting.

When my eyes finally focused, I realised she was standing wearing only her bra and night shorts. I immediately looked away from her and wondered why she wasn't rushing to wear her clothes.

After a minute I looked back at her since I figured she would've worn her top by now. I was definitely wrong. I watched her pat her empty bed without looking at it.

I was confused at her actions until I spotted a red top on the floor near the bed. It must've fallen and she was searching for it. Screw it.

I opened the window myself and climbed right inside. I tried my best not to look at her while I was making my way over to the bed to pick up the top.

"Here" I turned away and held it behind me. "I'm not looking relax" I felt her snatch the top from my hand and rush to wear it.

"Thanks" She mumbled. "Safe to turn around?" I asked. "Yea" Her voice was soft. I turned to see her cheeks were completely red and she was looking away from me.

"Relax nothing happened" I tried to assure her. "Let's just get this over with" That came out harsher than I thought it would. I just wanted to change the topic for her. Crap.

Mira

An hour passed and we wrapped up our work for the night. "Great we're done" I started clearing up. "Mira" Aryan held my hand to stop me from getting up.

"What?" I tried to get my hand back from Aryan's grip. "Is that blood?" I turned towards the top carelessly dropped onto the floor. I shut my eyes when I realised I'll have to explain.

"What happened?" He asked me. I turned to him with an excuse ready. "Please don't lie" He pleaded. "I was cooking" I told him. "And I cut my finger" He nodded.

"Where's the cut?" He asked me. "Aryan you should go" I told him. "They hurt you" I chuckle. "Yeah well so did you just in a different way" His grip on my hand loosened.

For a second I hated that he stopped holding my hand. "It was dare" He said. "Sort of a tradition" He continued.

"Each one of us in the group does a dare at the start of each year" He told me. "This year my dare was to get you to go on a date with me" He confessed.

"Just one date" I scoffed. "When I started to interact with you I realised you were definitely not the type to go out with someone just like that" He explained.

"So I needed to make sure we became close first but I knew it wouldn't happen before the first week so I was going to tell you anyways"

I listened as he told me his explanation. I wanted to be angry with him but in all honesty my anger for him had slid away.

"I don't know how Gia found out about the dare but I know everything she said was out of spite" He said.

"She has this weird crush on me and I'm just not interested which is something she cannot understand" He explained.

"I never meant to hurt or embarrass you in front of everyone" He whispered softly. "I am really sorry this happened" He got up.

He started to leave and I felt he was being genuine enough. "Wait" He stopped on his tracks and immediately turned around.

"It was a stupid and disgusting dare" I told him. "But I forgive you" His face lit up and I had to hold back a smile.

"Thank you" He flashed a smile at me that could melt hearts. "I should go I'll see you around" He opened the window.

I noticed his smile had faded so I decided to ask him what was wrong. "You okay?" Aryan nodded plainly.

"What's wrong ruined reputation by not taking me out?" I laughed at him but stopped when I saw his expression.

"Oh wait really?" I looked at him with disbelief. "It's dumb I know" He started to climb out of my window.

"Aryan" I called out. I don't know why I did what I did. Maybe out of spite. Maybe to take advantage of the situation.

Or maybe because I really wanted him and that was the only way I could think of. Whatever it was it was too late to back off.

"Be my boyfriend" I boldly told him. He was surprised which I completely understood. He just sat there processing my demand.

He sat on the window sill with one foot on my bedroom floor and the other hanging out of the window.

It was safe to say I put him in an awkward position. "Mira" He started. "I don't like you in that way" Ouch.
