Third Person POV:
Mira was in one house, scrubbing dishes and cleaning up the kitchen after breakfast. She had been working around the house for two hours already.
Whereas in the house opposite of hers, Aryan Khan laid in his bed sleeping soundly.
Aryan Khan was the eldest child of Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan. He was fifteen years old like Mira.
He lived with his parents and little sister in the huge world famous bungalow, none other than 'Mannat'
He had the perfect life and the perfect family that others could only dream of getting.
He was a perfect replica of his father especially in terms of his personality.
A strong and hardworking lad with a great sense of humour.
However, he may be intellectual but he sure as hell was egoistic.
He may not be a spoilt snob but it'd be too drastic to say he wasn't arrogant.
Aryan was sprawled onto his circular bed in his large room. He laid on his stomach peacefully under his black covers.
That was until a servant of his entered his room with a loud knock. He called for Aryan to wake up as he cleared out his room.
Aryan groaned loudly as soon as the sunlight hit his eyes when his servant drew the curtains open.
"Hey!" Aryan exclaimed as he struggled to keep his eyes shut. He planted his face into his pillow with a grunt.
"Aryan ap ko ma niche bola rahin hai" [Aryan your mother is calling you downstairs] The servant told him calmly.
Aryan hoped if he didn't answer, maybe his servant would leave. Then he could get some rest before he starts high school tomorrow.
He heard footsteps leaving the room but little did he know his mother had walked in and silently instructed the servant to leave.
Aryan sighed in relief and snuggled up in his bed. "ARYAN!" He jerked up the second he heard his mother's angry voice.
"Ma!" He exclaimed turning around to see his mother standing in his room with her arms crossed.
"Breakfast with the family in five minutes or you're grounded" She told him. Aryan nodded and immediately leapt out of bed.
He walked across his room, passing his sofa and coffee table that faced his tv. He entered his bathroom to freshen up.
He kept his grey sweats on but walked into his walk-in closet that was connected to his bathroom to put on a white t-shirt.
"Morning" He greeted his family that were already sat on the dining table. His dad gave him a smile and he kissed his mom's cheek.
Once he sat down on his seat, he noticed his sister glared at him because she wasn't able to eat before he arrived.
Gauri Khan had a rule, whoever is at home for the meal, only eats once everyone sits together.
"Aryan are you excited?" Shah Rukh asked his son. "What for?" He asked confused. Shah rolled his eyes at his son.
"Starting high school idiot" Aryan's mouth formed an 'O' when he realised. "Yeah I guess so" He just shrugged.
"Pay good attention to your work alright?" Shah advised his son who just nodded plainly. "Are you going to try out for football?" Aryan nodded.
"Definitely. You're looking at the future youngest captain of B-Wood High" Gauri Khan chuckled at her son's ambitions.
"I can't wait to go" Suhana spoke up. "What's so special about your middle school?" Aryan asked his sister.
"Not middle school. I'm excited to go to high school" She said. "Baby why do you want to grow up so fast?" Suhana shrugged innocently at her dad.
"Aryan the clothes you wanted are here, go try them on after breakfast" Gauri Khan told her son.
Aryan had ordered a whole new collection of clothes for the start of high school. He wanted to change his entire wardrobe.
He didn't say much to his parents but he wasn't excited for school to start. Even though, he'll be with his childhood friends.
Majority of students in B-Wood high come from B-Wood middle school and anyone in B-Wood are usually celebrity kids.
Aryan always felt very restricted when he was in school. Mostly because everyone knew who he was and they were associated with his family.
It gave him popularity but he hoped he got that popularity because of his personality not because of his dad.
He blasted his loud music as he placed all his designer clothes that had just arrived into his closet.
Meanwhile, Mira stood timidly in the corner of the living room as she waited for her aunt who called her downstairs.
"Here" Her aunt tossed a bag towards Mira which she struggled to catch. "Your new clothes for your new school" She told her.
Mira looked down to see old clothes of Mehek and some low quality clothes. "What?" Her aunt snapped at her.
"Thank you" Mira quickly said. "She doesn't like them Ma" Mehek pointed out. Mira looked at her with her eyes widened.
"Maybe she wants expensive clothes now that she goes to an expensive school" Mehek said smugly to instigate her mother.
"Is that so?" Her aunt rose from her seat. "No no never" Mira shivered with fear as her aunt approached her.
"Would've never sent such a burden like yourself to such a prestigious school" Her aunt told her.
"Just be grateful you were able to bag a scholarship" She told her. You have no idea how grateful I am. Mira thought.
"Now leave and I don't ever want to hear you complain again" She warned Mira. "But I didn't com–"
Mira gasped loudly when she realised what she had done. "Did you just talk back to me?!" She shouted angrily.
Mira relentlessly shook her head since she was unable to form any words. She wanted her aunt to know she didn't mean that.
She squealed loudly when her aunt's hand hit against her cheek roughly and she fell to the ground. "Room! Now!"
Mira scrambled out of the living room and locked herself inside her bedroom. She sunk to her knees in the middle of the room.
Her cheek stung with pain and her ears were ringing loudly. She tried to wipe her tears away but they kept flowing down.
After years of being hit by her aunt, Mira thought she would be used to it but that didn't seem to be the case.
