"Bhaiyya" I heard Suhana call out to me. I continued to drag her out the cafe. There were multiple paparazzis outside so we tried to stay as normal as we could.
I opened the front door for her and let her sit in before getting in the driver's seat. There were few minutes of silence while I tried to compose myself.
"Bhaiyya" Suhana called out and I snapped. "What the fuck were you thinking?" She jumped a little when I raised my voice. "What if it was someone else who walked in?" I sped down the empty road.
"How could you be so irresponsible?" I shouted. "I'm sorry" I could barely hear her soft voice over the sound of traffic. "You're thirteen Suhana" I smacked the wheel harshly.
"We weren't doing anything wrong" She choked out. I could hear her voice breaking every time she said a word. "He was just–" "Just what?" I interrupted her.
I looked over at her. She had her head down and I definitely scared her. I took a deep breath and calmed myself down. "Suhana..." I called out softly.
"I'm sorry I yelled" I knew I overreacted and could've handled the situation better. "But finding my little sister in a clos–"
"He wanted to show me a video of him playing his guitar but the cafe music was too loud" She explained. "So we went into the closet" I shut my eyes for a moment. Crap.
"I'm really sorry" I quickly said. "I just thought–" "Thought what?" I didn't have an answer for that or actually I didn't want to tell her my answer. "I got protective I'm sorry" I said softly.
"It's okay at least you care" I smiled a little. "I'm not you" She muttered under her breath but I heard it. My smile dropped. "Say what now?" I turned to her.
"Please bhaiyya what were you going to do in that closet" She eyed me. I looked away and focused on my driving. "No response huh" She said with a mocking chuckle.
"That's my business I'm the older one I don't have to answer to you" I stated. Suhana burst out laughing at my excuse. "Couldn't even lie to me" She said in between laughs. I rolled my eyes while she calmed herself down.
"By the way" She got my attention. "Hm?" I pulled into our bungalow. "You're apologising to Mira and Rehan" She told me. "Yeah I'm going to call Mira once I go up" I told her.
"Not just that you'll go to their house tomorrow and apologise face to face" She instructed. "Especially to Rehan" She demanded.
I parked the car in our basement and leaned back in my seat. "Goodnight bhaiyya" She turned to open the door but I made sure it was still locked.
"Bhaiyya door" She turned to me. "We need to talk about Rehan" I told her. Her expressions changed from relaxed to tensed.
I didn't like being so assertive with her but I needed to know what's happening in her life. "You and Rehan is that a thing?" I asked.
"What no n-n-no not at all no" She rambled on. "One no would've been plenty" She looked nervous.
"Look you're my sister if you're not going to tell me who will you tell?" I wanted her to be comfortable in talking to me.
"I could name like twenty people I would rather have this conversation with" She said. "Even our parents are on that list" My jaw dropped.
"A very low end of the list but they're on it" She said. "Wait what?" I asked, baffled at the fact that she would rather talk to our parents than me.
"Papa and Ma over me? Really?" She leaned into her seat. "Yeah well you're crazy protective. Maybe even more than them which by the way says ALOT about you" She explained.
I sat there for a few moments in silence. "I didn't see that coming" I told her. "We're changing this right now" I said. "Okay fine I'll be more honest" She assured me.
"Rehan is really cute and I really like him" She confessed. "Alright uhm that's good" I said awkwardly. "It's just–Rehan is a little..." I didn't know how to phrase this well.
"I really like him bhaiyya" She said excitedly and I melted. There was no way I could break her heart. "I think he really likes me too" I smiled.
"And why wouldn't he" I unlocked the door for her. "Night" She said before she got out of the car. I sighed loudly before getting out of the car myself.
Mira
I laid in my bed with ease because I knew Aryan would call me soon to apologise. His habit of jumping to conclusions is really bad and we have to work on fixing it.Rehan told me what happened and why they were in the closet. I knew when Suhana would tell Aryan, he will immediately call me so I was just patiently waiting.
As if on cue, my phone buzzed. I tapped around the bed to find it. I smirked when I saw his name on the screen. "Yes?" I answered the phone smugly. "Judging from your tone I'm assuming you know what" He said.
"Yeah but I want to hear it from you" I chuckled. "I freaked out okay that's my little sister" I rolled my eyes. "You are such a little hypocrite" I told him. "We are older so it's different" He said.
"Whatever I'm coming over tomorrow with Suhana" He informed. "Your aunt and uncle aren't going to be here right?" He asked. "Nope" I told him. "Good Suhana is going to make sure I apologise to Rehan" I chuckled.
"Oh and don't tell him tonight I would like him to be scared the whole night" I rolled my eyes but there is nothing that would make me more happy so I agreed.
"Good night see you tomorrow" We said our goodbyes and hung up the phone.
