Chapter 19

Rehan just sat on my bed and waited for me to comprehend what he had just told me. I couldn't believe he had just took the name of Aryan's little sister.

"What did you just say" I was still hoping I heard him wrong the first time. He rolled his eyes. "Suhana. Khan" He said with a quick pause between her first and last name.

"Are you crazy?" I asked him and he laughed at me. "Why are you laughing? I'm completely percent serious" I wanted to be stern with him but he was not taking me seriously at all.

"Rehan you cannot have Suhana Khan" I told him firmly. "And why not?" God I hated his guts. "Because first she isn't a parcel you can just have and second have you seen her?"

He nodded. "Yeah that's exactly why I want her" He told me. "Because you think she's a parcel Rehan I–" "No idiot" He stopped me. "Because I've seen her" He said.

"She's really pretty and funny and–" "And way out of your league" I completed for him. I knew he was getting angry but I did not care even a little.

"You know she isn't blind right?" I asked him rhetorically. "You will set me up with her by putting in a few good words for me" It was a demand not a request.

"I'm not even close to Suhana" I told him. "Why not ask your sister?" He got off the bed in frustration. "Because she is a complete tattletale" He tried to keep his voice down.

"She will tell Ma everything" It was true. I hated Rehan but out of both siblings if I ever had to choose, I would choose Rehan any day.

He usually stayed out of everything but I still hated him for taunting me every now and then. I also hate him now when he is trying to blackmail me.

"Also you aren't close to Suhana but I know you're close to Aryan" He said. I thought for a moment and my silence annoyed him.

"And if I don't do it?" I asked, although I knew the answer. "Then I'll tell my mother that I saw you sneaking into the house from Aryan's house–"

"I–" I tried to interrupt him but he held out a finger. "Bup bup I'm not done" He said. "I will tell Ma that you sneaked back home late at night AND..."

I looked on when he mentioned an 'and'. "I will tell her he has been sneaking into the house for a couple of nights" I looked at him with shock.

"Yeah I know" He smirked at me. "I know he's been coming into your room at night and staying there for a couple of hours" I was speechless.

"I mean a strange boy in your room for hours late at night with no adult supervision" He said in a mockingly shocked tone. "What could you two have been doing?"

He was trying to get a reaction out of me and he did. "Shut up you sick asshole" I scolded him but in a hushed tone. "I'm not the one sneaking in a boy in the middle of the night" He argued.

I knew he had the complete upper hand. My aunt would already believe anything he said and this time it would be real. "So Mira" He took a step towards me. "Do we have a deal?" He asked.

"Or should I call my mom?" He pointed towards my bedroom door. I was screwed. "I don't got all night" Rehan wasn't even giving me a moment to think but to be fair there wasn't much to think about.

"Just–give me a second" He gladly gave it knowing I have no escape from this deal. I thought about the cons of not taking the deal.

My aunt would hit me more than she ever has and won't ever let me leave the house. My education could stop.

My acting classes and everything that Aryan was going to help me would stop and I would have no way of getting out of this family.

The pros of not taking the deal included only one aspect; making the morally right decision. I looked up at Rehan and weighed my options.

I bit my lip and took a deep breath. I'm no saint and in life I have to be selfish. I need to get out of here and not taking this deal could ruin my chances forever.

"Okay" I mumbled. Rehan shifted slightly. "What did you say?" He asked, knowing full well what I had said. "I said okay" I answered louder. "I'll do it" I said boldly.

"You set me up with Suhana and get me a date if you fail you can say goodbye to all of your dreams"

I know Rehan meant the last part as a joke because he knew I'll be trapped but he didn't realise how much that meant to me.

He held out his hand and I hesitated for a moment before taking it. We shook on the deal and he started walking towards my bedroom door.

"Oh and uhm by the way" He said. I can't believe he still has more demands after this one. "If I were you I would remember that there is a two week deadline" He told me.

"Wait what two weeks?" I asked in surprise. "Yeah in exactly two weeks and three days our middle school is having a school dance" He informed me.

"Suhana will be my date and you will make sure of that" He instructed. I was left stunned as he shut the door behind him leaving me alone in my room.

Two weeks was impossible. There was no way I could make Rehan out of all people look good in front of Suhana. My phone buzzed and I smiled when I saw Aryan's name pop up.

'Hope you're sleeping by now sweet dreams' My smile dropped when I noticed his profile picture. If was of him and his siblings.

I know how protective he is of Suhana and here I was trying to find ways to set his little sister up with someone I know will never be good enough for her.

"I'm so sorry Aryan" I whispered.
