Chapter 8

It's been 3 months and we still have that routine. Susunduin niya ako sa bahay sa umaga we ate breakfast together, ihahataid ako sa school, and susunduin ako sa school spend our free time together hanggang sa kailangan na namin umuwi at ihahatid na niya ako sa bahay. He did those things consistently for the past 3 months, minsan napapatanong ako kung hindi ba siya napapagod sa routine namin na iyon and he even update me kung anong mga ginagawa niya. So this day we are on our usual routine since Friday ngayon at katatapos lang ng exams namin and we are about to graduate in 4 to 5 months. We decided to go on a road trip, we don't have destination he just driving while we are vibin with the music in his car.

AFTER 3 hours of roaming around and eating, we decided to stop on a high place where we can see the beautiful city lights because it's already 8:34 pm. We are silent for a moment feeling the fresh air and taking our moment appreciating the place while feeling the presence of each other. After 15 minutes of silence i decided to talk.

" Kai...."

"Hmmmm?"

"I'm afraid, that this happiness would end if we move on from this stage. I'm afraid that things might change if you already get what you wanted to hear from me."

"Shhhh, Samie? Where this coming from? Do we have a problem? Why things would going to change?"

" I'm afraid that your consistency will end. Natatakot ako magbago yung mga bagay na nakasanayan ko na sayo. Sinanay mo ako masyado for the past 3 months and I'm going to be honest, mabilis akong ma-attached and if i am already attached mahihirapan na akong bumitaw at bitawan yung mga bagay na nakasanayan ko na."

" Samie please get to the point, I'm getting nervous on what you are saying. " Kinakabahang sabi niya pero hindi ko pinansin yon at nagpatuloy ako sa mga gusto kong sabihin.

" Natatakot ako na baka sa una lang tayo ganito. I know that change is constant in life, pero pano kung masaktan ako sa mga pagbabagong mangyayari. I have so many what ifs, but don't want this to end...."

"Samie please say it directly you're confusing me."

"I am in charge of how i feel and today i am choosing happiness. I am willing to risk now and take every chance we have. I will going to drop every fear, please make it worth it."

"Are you telling me.....is it a?...."

"Yes, mark this day October 27th 2021. It's a yes Kai, you are officially my boyfriend." I am actually holding my tears kasi gusto kong masabi lahat ng gusto ko. Pero nung nasabi ko na kusa ng umagos ang luha ko sa sobrang saya. I never imagined myself in this kind of situation pero sadyang mapaglaro ang tadhana at hindi matatakasan.

" Is this for real Samie? Can i call you baby?" Tumango ako bilang sagot.

"You are officially my girlfriend? Pwede na kitang ipagsigawan, yes! Woooh! Girlfriend ko na si Samie, girlfriend ko na si Samantha Angelique Vilarde Aragones!!!" Nagsisigaw siya doon na parang nanalo sa lotto at tinawanan ko lang siya. Ang saya makita yung kasiyahan niya, yung mukha niyang makikita mo yung pagka genuine nung saya niya.

Today October 27th of 2021 i take the risk and choose my happiness hoping it's worth it....
