THE SUN beamed through the windows as Eddie sat on the table that was pushed under the very same windows. There were only two windows in the classroom, sadly, but Eddie didn't mind. The sun had enough light to break through the glass and brighten up the whole room.

Eddie's hands lingered over the strings of his guitar, a rather soft hum of a melody echoing around the empty room. To be fair, Eddie didn't quite know what he was doing there, sitting all alone in a vacant classroom when he could be eating with his Hellfire club but oh well, he couldn't deny the quiet that brought him calmness. His guitar rests comfortably on his lap, already plugged into the amp and into the extention cord. At first, he had been playing hard metal but now that his mind had drifted off, he was just mindlessly messing with the strings.

The door of the classroom swung open and a very frustrated and tired Sammy Hopper stepped in.

Eddie's eyes immediately wandered over her; the tiredness in her eyes, the hood of her hoodie just barely hanging on her hair, her outfit and the guitarcase strapped on her back. It wasn't long before Sam noticed him and froze as if terrified. She hasn't even made her way in the classroom before she was trying to walk away.

"Hey, hold on!" Eddie shouted. "What are you doing?"

"Leaving?" Sam asked in a matter-of-factly voice as she turned to face him.

"Yeah, well, you already came here, why are you leaving so soon?" Eddie asked, confused and trying to stop time so that he can talk to Sam a bit more.

Sam raised an eyebrow and looked Eddie up and down as of deciding which topic to approach him with.

"Because you are already here?" Sam said but it came out as a question and then she quickly added, "not that I want to leave because you are here, it's just, usually people come here when they wanna be alone."

Eddie smiled at that.

"So you assumed I wanted to be alone?" He asked, wanting to make sure.

Sam shrugged. "I guess."

Eddie chuckled and patted the space next to him on the table, right under the second window and said, "Nah, you are free to join me in this boring castle, Sammy."

Sam broke into a smile at his comment and shook her head. "Castle?" She asked, stepping inside the classroom and closing the door behind herself. "What are you? A locked up princess?"

"Only if you are going to be my Knight in shining amour." Replied Eddie and then immediately wished he didn't open his mouth because damn it, only four days ago he found out Sam was dating Harrington.

Sam, unfazed, shrugged and jumped up to sit next to Eddie. A safe distance between them was always there though.

"What were you playing before I came in?" She asked, smoothly changing the subject.

"Nothing much, just some mindless tunes." Replied Eddie, glad for the topic change because he did not, at all, like the way his heart dropped when he remembered that Sam was taken. "Man, gotta say, the amp here ain't too good."

"You don't say?" Sam agreed. "One time it glitched and almost electrified my whole ass guitar."

"Sounds like something our buddy here would do." Eddie chuckled, nodding towards the amp that his guitar was plugged in.

Sam chuckled as well and nodded before a small silence covered them up like a thin blanket. In the new formed silence, Sam plugged her guitar in the other amp that was a bit newer than the one Eddie was using. Once she was done with everything, she hopped back on top of the table and as she fixed her guitar and strings, Eddie was openly staring at her.
