AFTER FEW hours of calm silence mixed with the group coming up with a plan, Eddie found a book with stores in it and opened to a page where they apparently sold weapons. They were crowded around a table; Eddie leaning over the book, Steve on one side and Sam on his other side. Next to Sam stood Robin and on her side stood Erica and Lucas while on Steve's side stood Nancy and Dustin. Max stood a bit behind everyone but she was listening anyway.

"Check this out. The War Zone." Eddie said. "I've been there once. It's huge. They got everything you need for, uh... well, killing things, basically." He explained, tapping his fingers onto the book.

"You think fake Rambo has enough guns there?" Robin asked and then pointed to something on the picture and asked, "is that a grenade? I mean, how is any of this legal?"

"Well, lucky for us it is, so... this- this place is just far enough outside of Hawkins." Eddie said, looking around the group. "As long as we steer clear of the main roads, we oughta be able to avoid cops and, uh, angry hicks."

"If we're trying to avoid angry hicks, maybe we shouldn't go to some store called the War Zone." Erica pointed out, using her duh voice.

"Normally, I'd agree, but we need the weapons." Nancy said just as Dustin made a 'fair point' kind of face at Erica's statement. "So, I think it's worth the risk."

"Me too." Lucas agreed.

"Yeah, seems fair." Added Sam.

"But is it worth the time?" Asked Dustin. "It'll take all day to bike there and back."

"Who said anything about bikes?" Asked Eddie smugly.

"Wait, you got some sort of car we don't know about?" Asked Steve.

Eddie leaned back to his full height and with a grin he said, "it's not exactly a car, Steve. And it's not exactly mine," he looked around and added, "but, uh... it'll do." And then he made the most adorable smile Sam had ever seen.

Holy shit, Sam wanted to kiss him.

Wait, hold on. What.

"Hey, Red," Eddie abruptly said, turning to look at Max. "Uh, you got a ski mask or a bandanna, something like that?"

Max stood quietly for a second before making a small shrug as if reliving a quick memory with something and made a face as if saying 'well...'.

Well... maybe Eddie was supposed to look cool or at least interesting. But to Sam he looked hilarious in the mask.

It was a Michael Myers mask.

Sam had seen that mask on Max in 1984 when the children went trick or treating for Halloween. They didn't know Max much at that time but they invited her anyway and Sam knows this because she had dropped Dustin off to their meeting place because his mother couldn't.

But anyway, they were now hiding behind Max's trailer as Eddie wore that ridiculous mask on his face. They each got a backpack to fill in with weapons and everything else they will need. Eddie looked around, checking if the coast was clear before motioning for the group to follow him. Sam giggled and quietly fast-walked towards the direction Eddie was leaning them. They went behind a trailer until they arrived at the back of a van where on the other side, a man and a woman were listening to the radio.

They circled around the van until Eddie found the back windows. He then slid them open and jumped inside the van, landing on a couch. As Sam took ahold of the sides of the window, she heard Eddie say, "that was suffocating." And Sam saw him take the mask off and rush to help Sam get inside the van. He didn't wait for the others and ran to the front of the van to work on how to start it without a key as Sam moved aside to let the others in.
