𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐓𝐀𝐁𝐋𝐘 𝐍𝐔𝐌𝐁 | 𝐄𝐝𝐝𝐢𝐞 𝐌𝐮𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐧

☆ ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀ 33

                        THE FOLLOWING two weeks were spent with the whole group helping Hopper and the Byers clean the cabin, build another two rooms, change the demaged furniture, get new furniture and so on. Sam and Dustin were mostly in the hospital but when Wayne wasn't at work, Sam and Dustin would go to the cabin to help as well. When Wayne was at work though, the two would look after Eddie.

Sometimes it was only Sam alone and when she was alone, she made sure to tell Eddie everything that was happening, reading from the book Dustin gave her about D&D or playing her acoustic guitar. She also tried to learn new songs on her electric guitar in the room, making sure it wasn't too loud but also wanting Eddie to enjoy the music, knowing how dear music was to him. Other times, she would play Eddie's favorite songs on a handsized stereo that Max had offered to give to Sam.

Speaking of Max, she was visited constantly as well. The kids would go there everyday, sometimes have sleepovers and whatnot.

Of course, Eddie was visited by them as well and the kids that were in Hellfire would always talk about how they miss Eddie's campaigns. Two days ago Gereth came to visit, saying how he misses band practice and Eddie in general. Sam had left him alone with Eddie after that, knowing Gereth might need alone time with him.

Wayne was overwhelmed by the amount of people that love Eddie and that can't wait for him to wake up. He explained to Sam that Eddie used to be lonely, without friends and without any company but seeing his niece now, Wayne was in utter happiness.

Will met Eddie as well.

"You will join Hellfire, right?" Sam had asked, side hugging Will.

They had been sitting next to Eddie's bed, the sun beaming through the open windows and since it was a warm Wednesday morning, specifically three days ago, there had been birds singing melodic songs near the trees.

"I want to, yeah." Replied Will, nodding and smiling.

"Eddie will love you," Sam had said, her voice tender and warm. "He will take you under his wing, I'm telling you."

"We don't know that yet." Will had tried to reason out but Sam shook her head.

"We do," Sam argued back. "I do." She added.

"But-"

"No buts, Will." Sam interrupted. "Eddie will adore you and I'm sure you will be his favorite Hellfire member."

Will tried to say something, maybe decline, but then he closed his mouth and smiled instead. He nodded softly and tightened the hug the two were sharing. And of course Sam was sure Eddie would love Will. She knew it and was sure of it because who doesn't love Will? On top of it all, both Will and Eddie have many things in common, both of them love D&D more than anyone could ever understand.

Sam was even sure when Eddie retired from Hellfire - if that day ever came - he would make Will the new Dungeon Master, he would let Will take his place.

Sam was sure of it.

Back to the present, it was Saturday morning and Sam had just arrived in the hospital, getting her usual breakfast and orange juice from the cafeteria. Joyce and her father complained that she wasn't eating at home but she said she was used to eating from the hospital cafeteria.

Now, the home, as Sam called it, had a lot to be arranged for it to look decent but it was still a home.

The cabin got new furniture, the kitchen, Hopper's room, the livingroom and the bathroom were finished already. The two rooms that were being build were for Will and Jonathan and they would need time to be finished but in few days the two boys would be able to at least sleep in them. For now, they were using Sam's room while Sam slept with Eleven in Eleven's room. There were few arrangements left for Sam's and Eleven's room until they were finished but they were small and day by day they were being done.
