THE FIRST thing the three did was get the amp that luckily can be used for two guitars on top of the trailer. They connected them all to the electricity in their world in Eddie's trailer so that they could get the speakers and amp working. There were many cables connected and Sam prayed their plan would work because if the electricity didn't work, well... simply put, they were screwed.

Then they started to barricade the trailer - especally the door - with metal fences from the trailer park that they yanked off and took them to the door. They used a drill and many other tools to make sure the trailer will have a good barrier that would hold the bats at least a bit longer than needed so that they could escape or be ready to fight. It was weird literally working in the Upside Down, like, using tools you'd use in the real world when something breaks or you want to build something. Sam worked in a trance, not wanting to believe any of this was happening because if she thought too long about it, she would definitely think they are all insane and they will all die.

And thinking about dying wasn't the ideal thing to do right now.

"Hold this." Dustin said, pointing to the metal he was holding onto one of the windows.

Sam nodded and rushed to hold the metal as Dustin nailed it around the window, making sure there were no cracks so that the bats couldn't get in. They got their stuff on an old rug, pulling it onto the ground whenever they went back and forth with getting metal and fences that they would need. They had to make sure each window, each hole and especally the door, was covered good. The door of course not exactly covered but they had put a fence around it, making it look like a prison cell with bars only it was a fence.

As they worked, nailing the edges of the prsion-like fence over the door and the small-like porch, Sam could hear the distant growling of bats. She tried to focus on the cage they were making over the porch and door but the screeching and growling was really distracting. It was scaring her. What if all of this didn't work? What if something went wrong and one, or even worse, few of them, die?

"You okay?" Eddie asked, coming up from behind her.

Sam flinched but regained her posture almost immediately.

"Yeah, um, just- just a bit worried." Replied Sam.

A bit was an understatement.

"Everything's going to be fine, all right?" Eddie softly told her, placing a comforting hand on top of Sam's hand that was holding a piece metal, waiting for Dustin to finish up so they could put that one too. "We will finish up here in no time and be back in our world."

"Yeah, you are right." Nodded Sam, sending Eddie a smile.

"If you need to talk about something to someone, anything at all, I'm here for you, 'key?" Eddie asked, smiling softly.

"I'll keep that in mind." Replied Sam with a nod.

"Hey, guys? A little help here?" Dustin groaned.

The two immediately turned to face Dustin in worry only to see him trying to hold a piece of metal much bigger than him with one hand. The two oldest laughed and shook their heads, rushing to help Dustin as said boy groaned in relaxation as soon as the two took ahold of the metal.

"Don't take things that are too big for you, little one." Sam joked.

"I'm not little." Dustin grumbled. "I'm a teen."

"All right, big boy, help us and shut up then." Sam replied, using a fake-mom voice.

"All right, big boy, help us and shut up then." Dustin mocked, rolling his eyes but coming to help anyway.
