"I'm meeting someone, she's about this short," I said to the waiter,

"Long black hair? Expensive purse?" He laughed,

"That's the one, thank you," I smiled as he walked me over to her.

"Happy Mother's Day crazy," I said hugging her tight,

"Thank you baby, same to you," Mama replied. "Sit down, I got you some things,"

"For me?" I fake gasped,

"Yes well it is Mother's Day," She laughed. Like the man said she moved her big ass expensive purse and got out her shopping bags.

"Ooo he let you shop today?" I asked with a smile,

"He did, he's out waiting in the car for me," She smiled handing me a bag.

"Aw mama," I pouted opening it. "I said I would get it myself,"

"You deserve it," She leaned over and kissed my cheek.

It was a custom Chanel that I always used to take from her, now she got me my own.

"Now my gift seems rubbish," I mumbled,

"You don't have to give me a gift, you're my angel baby that's enough," Mama gleamed at me,

"That's cute but I still got you something," I laughed picking it up. "It's small —"

"This is not small," She stopped me with tears in her eyes,

"Ma," I paused when she started crying, in the middle of the damn restaurant.

"I remember when we took this," She sobbed looking down at the pictures.

If I knew a scrapbook would upset her that much, I wouldn't have made it.

This lady was in full blown tears over the customary bread.

"Mama it's okay," I reached for her hand,

"This is just so thoughtful," She sniffed getting up. She pulled me into a bone crushing hug, I literally heard all my bones snap.

"You're welcome," I patted her back looking around,

"Can we eat now? I'm hungry," She cried on my shoulder,

"Yeah yeah let's eat, stop crying," I said with a small smile.

"I'm gonna keep this forever Mae, thank you," She touched my hand, squeezing it.

"Who says you like expensive things? That cost me 5 dollars," I said truthfully,

"I don't like expensive things, I like thoughtful things," She lied.
