"Shit!" she exclaimed staring at the screen dumbfounded. "Why is the file corrupted?!"

She quickly checked the system for any error in transmission and/or side-attacks but she found none.

"It's empty!" Jimin noted leaning over her shoulder to stare at the screen.

"Yah, no shit, Sherlock!" she mocked, cursing under her breath as she furiously typed trying to slip out from one satellite to hack to its neighbouring one.

She planned on sneaking into the cameras and examining the footage of the place she had seen earlier that day in 7Ks but in the location the building should be, there was absolutely nothing.

She searched for a missed transmission. A cyberattack that would prevent her from entering the footage. There was no evidence of any disturbance or miscalculation from her part. Marcella had no idea what had happened in between  the few hours that could have led to this, and it didn't happen often to her to not know. She was used to always being two steps ahead, the not knowing unnerved her.

Her smug confidence started to waver with every obstacle. She tried the same things over and over with different angles and techniques, each time she hit the same dead end.

"Ugh, this is frustrating," she moaned closing the laptop with force and throwing it on the small table between the two armchairs. Jimin jumped surprised by her reaction. Searching in her phone for the saved data, she sighted with relief finding the files. She quickly showed it to Jimin.

He nodded pleased taking the phone from her and analyzing the data carefully.

"This could be useful," he said skeptically.

"The backup files are also in my computer, you can check them if you want to," she added. "But apparently I can no longer watch over the place live. Maybe if I go to a closer range of the camps, I could get a clearer signal."

"I don't get it. If you got to them before, why can't you get to them again?" Wondered J-Hope.

"It's actually trickier than that," she defended. "When I hack into a system I don't ever leave any indication of who and where I am or that even I've been in their system. There are very few times someone can suspect I'm sitting on their servers, yet if they look very carefully , they can figure that they're being hacked. I suspect someone stumbled upon one of these very faint trails and decided to put more firewalls just in case."

"So there's no chance they figured out it was you who hacked them?" Jimin sounded impressed.

Marcella shook her head certain.

"I have to agree that there are too many variables when it comes to tampering satellite images. It might take days to break into their logistics. Maybe even weeks."Jimin added. "And it takes minutes to lock someone out."
