He smelled her fear the second she stepped into the room.
He couldn't blame her. She had every reason to be afraid. But it still bothered the young gangster that the fragile girl felt so distressed by his presence when all he wanted was to help her. He was used to people being afraid of him whether they were men, women or children. But they'd usually have a reason to fear him and he didn't care much about it because what they got was what they deserved. However, this was a different kind of fear, one he despised more than the fainted green color paint on these ridiculously depressing walls around the interrogation room he was currently sitting in.
He sighed tiredly and plastered a kind, reassuring smile on his face. Taehyung never had problems controlling his facial reactions. Being aware of the emotions of people around him was what he excelled at, as he did in controlling them. Yoongi has always said that was one of the things making him an asset to the group. One of the reasons the infamous Agust D pushed him so hard to take the position of VP.
That didn't matter so much to V. As Yoongi said so many times, that was just a Title. V was already a VP where it mattered. The entire thing was kind of ridiculous and outdated in the eyes of the Daegu Boys.
She grabbed his attention, when she stopped at the entrance, hesitating with fumbling fingers and unsure eyes. Jackson had closed the door behind her and she jerked frightened at the loud sound.
That seemed to have unfrozen Taehyung's mind.
He greeted her politely with a bow. He then proceeded into showing her to the chair in front of him on the other side of the iron table, asking her kindly to take a sit.
Her eyes traveled to the items on the only furniture separating them, there were two folders on it and his cellphone along with the car keys and a half finished coffee.

JapaneseShe finished school just this year and had little to no one to take care of her. She had worked endlessly while struggling with school and an ill mother who had passed away just a few months before she was kidnapped, marking the last person who gave a shit about her that had died.
She was young and beautiful Taehyung observed, but then again, every single one of these girls were.
Rage started filling him making his skin crawl at the thought that this could easily have been his sister. Kidnapped, taken advantage of, broken. Granted, the girl was a little bit younger than what his sister would be, but still.
Taehyung tapped his fingers on the wooden table and let the girl get comfortable on the chair.
This whole interrogation thing was a little bit disappointing. None of the girls had offered a lick of information so far and this really looked like time and energy wasted in vain when there was so much work to be done. But he really didn't want to employ other tactics just yet. Not until he had exhausted the nice ones.
