"So we're taking down Serpents?" Hoseok had asked the question a few hours after Marcella and José left the D.
They were gathered in Jin's mansion, waiting for the rest of the group to gather. Jin and his wife were in Japan on a small vacation Jin insisted on, so the boys decided to gather inside his house out of habit.
Yoongi, Namjoon, Hoseok and Jimin were in the spacious living room settled on the large sofas discussing the latest new piece of information.
Everyone had their own apartments by now, yet this mansion had more homey vibes because whenever they came here, they never felt alone. Everyone had their room and everyone was welcome at any given time, even when the host wasn't home.
"What about sitting tight in Seoul tonight because our enemies are plotting against us?" Jimin questioned. "Your words Yoongi."
"That's exactly what we're doing," Yoongi explained. "You're thinking about it in the wrong way; we're not taking down Serpents, they're attempting to take us down. We're just patiently waiting for them to come and sent them all to hell."
"How do you even begin to know this?" Jimin asked. "I haven't heard a peep about it and I have my spies working around the clock."
"That's because they are very tight lipped," Yoongi said. "We all know this has been coming for long now. But tonight is the perfect opportunity for them to do this."
"Why tonight," Jimin asked again.
Yoongi took a generous sip from the glass of whiskey he's been nursing for the past half an hour.
"Because I gave them that opportunity," Yoongi said at last. "When Rose chased down that Russian spy I believe she learned some stuff about what her father and I've been up to regarding the kidnap and the trafficking. Unexpectedly she reached out to Marcella of all people and our little Scarlet rascal obliged all too willingly. She told her everything she knew and apparently, she told her about Valodia. Rose then went to break Ashley out here - which I allowed since I wanted them gone for the day to keep them away and safe from what is to go down here."
He paused to make sure Jimin was following.
"Ashley - of course- knowing who Valodia is and her father's dubious ways, decided to pay a visit to the prison and rally him out to get him to react, which he did. He called Valodia and threatened him, the conversation lasted long enough for Marcella to track him down and give the location to the girls. It took her a moment to realize that they were planning to track them down and attack the base in the meanwhile all by themselves."
"That's why she came to us," Jimin realized. "She was worried the girls would get killed. And they would have, had Valodia not be working for you."
Yoongi nodded.
"She's tenacious," Namjoon smiled and looked at Yoongi. "Like someone else I know."
Yoongi narrowed his eyes. "She's stubborn and disrespectful. It's not a good combination."
