Know thy enemy.
~ Sun TzuSoobin slipped out his leather jacket like a serpent shredding its skin.
He had prepared well enough for this, everything was where it was supposed to be. For the first time in a long time, Soobin had Bangtan where he wanted them.
He had managed to compromise most of their known warehouses, rob them of ammo and gain support from their under-links whom they thought were trusting allies. Now all that remained was pulling the rag right underneath their feet, crush their invincible cloak and show the world how bulletproof was anything but invincible.
It was a shame he didn't manage to kill Hoseok that night, the night he sent the feds after him. He wondered how he had slithered out. He knew for a fact that their main hacker was preoccupied with a certain hooker working across silver bullet. So it was a mystery how they manage to blindside them. The hacker that attacked their systems didn't have Jimin's fingerprints.
He didn't know Bangtan had met a certain traceless Scarlet Syberqueen that very night. It was irony at its finest; a dragon plan failed because Marcella was there to right their wrongdoings against her brother. Wrongdoings that led her brother to borrow money from Bangtan to pay off dragons.
It was like a perfect circle. A sadistic tail eating snake. Irony that Soobin wasn't aware of.
Amongst may other things he believed he knew.
The Serpent King sighted thinking about that particular failure. That night was a setback, but he had something else up his sleeve this time. This would be an undeniable success, because this time he had someone very close to Bangtan on his side. Someone he would never see coming.
He took a seat behind the desk, taking a sip from his favourite whiskey.
"Tonight will be a spectacular night," he said with amusement colouring his eyes.
Four pair of eyes looked at him expectantly.
In the armchair in front of his desk sat Kim Wonshik, also known as Beanie. He was the closest thing to a father he and Ashley ever had. Their father, Papa Snake as they called him, was more often than not in and out of prison ever since they were children. The gang took care of them, but Beanie had practically raised them, putting his entire life on hold.
Sometimes he wondered if the reason Beanie never got married and created a family of his own was because he was too focused on them.
"So, you guys ready for tonight?" He asked the man sitting right in front of him.
Park Daeshim.
Ghost as many called him. Dash was his second in command. Whenever he didn't listen to Beanie, he listened to Daeshim - the latter happened a lot the past few years. Dash was an incredibly good spy, even better than Lemon who had been sloppy the past few months. If he hadn't been blood related Serpent, Soobin would seriously consider kicking Lemon out of the gang as he had provided very little assistance to him as of lately.
