Even gang members imagine a future
that doesn't include gangs.

_________________________His fingertips tapped on the steering wheel recreating the nerve-wracking pace in which his brain cells exploded from boredom and annoyance. He was on high alert and the motionless anticipation of something bad happening was killing him. He hated waiting. He hated standing still, and right now he really hated his gut feeling and the fact that it was never wrong.
A sigh escaped his pursed lips as his eyes danced around the scenery in front of him, scanning the park for the thousandth time that night. His instincts were bugging him as would a petulant child asking the same question over and over again would irritate an elder. He wanted nothing more than to smack that feeling away. The urge to fire the engine and drive away from there was pretty strong, the fact that he hadn't yet, indicated the significance of this deal for their gang.
Glancing outside, he wondered how much longer it'd take the other party to arrive. His often-cheerful mood was unusually somber and not even the dark green of the forest he so loved could ease the tension inside him. The buzzing of the nocturnal creatures annoyed him even more than the feeling that there was something off with this particular deal.
He had a bad feeling about this since the very beginning, but he couldn't exactly argue with a mobster to postpone their plans solemnly based on a hunch. Especially when they were in need of this alliance, even if the boss was his childhood friend and would undoubtedly take his opinion into account.
He jumped squealing a little startled by movements detected far in the distance, somewhere above the bushes.
What else would he do than jump out of his skin?! He mocked himself.
Thank God the others weren't here! They would make fun of him for being a scary cat for the rest of eternity.
Ignoring his previous fright, he quickly sat up straight, concentrating on the spot he detected the movement. It couldn't be the kids. He was supposed to meet them at the docks later, after meeting with Soobin and his lackeys.
Only, they were nowhere to be found.
He debated for a second if he should actually check it or not, he spared a swift glance at the clock that informed him of something he already knew; Serpents were running late.
Hoseok sighed annoyed before grabbing his gun and getting out of the car to investigate. It was probably nothing. An animal, perhaps. But in their line of job, you never knew. He shut the door a little too harshly, the noise amplified by the silent night.
He stared up at the full moon, lurking over his dark figure as he made his way into the clearing between the woods. The soft sound of his boots stepping on the newly rained wet grass was the only sound that disturbed the blabbering of the annoying frogs.
