When Izuku was told he was quirkless he didn't care about being a hero all he cared about was joining the military instead of him graduating from highschool he had enough all he wanted was a family who would care about him but after he was told to kill himself he faked his death with the help of momo since he went to her and ask for her while he was in the military. Momo was saddened that he had to go early but understood he promised her he'll marry her when he gets back and she held on to it until their second year of UA Izuku came with his crew and took care of the villains.
