The next day ~ 8AM
Dream's View:
I woke up to the sound of singing birds. The warmth of the bed called me down. I sat up to see an IV connected to me. What happened filled my mind again, but this time, I couldn't bring myself to react to anything.

There was a knock on the door.

* Come in!

I exclaimed. It opened and my eyes widened. It was them...the wolves.

Snap out of it, it's only a dream...

"Oh this isn't a dream, sunlight~" They began to walk closer and closer to me.

* W-Wait stop! P-Please!

I got out of bed but then fell due to being weak...and pathetic. I dragged myself along the floor, trying to get to the bathroom to lock myself in.

"You can't escape."

I grabbed the door handle and tried locking it but they were stronger.

* L-LEAVE ME ALONE! SOMEONE HELP!!!!

I closed my eyes as I let go of the door handle, expecting the worst.

* ...Dream...?

I heard Blue's voice.

* Dream it's just me...nobody's gonna hurt you.

Blue hugged me tightly. My soul was beating so hard that it hurt; I couldn't breathe.

Blue's View:
Nightmare entered the room, feeling the tremendous amount of fear and negativity coming from it.

* Get Cross.

Nightmare nodded and went off. I knew no matter how hard I tried, calling Dream down wasn't a skill of mine. Cross came in with Nightmare and he swept Dream into a huge hug.

* It's over...

I heard Cross whisper to Dream.

* I'll be your protector from now on, I promise...

Cross got ahold of Dream's soul and and kept it close to his own, which was giving off a calming aura. They stayed together for around half an hour before Dream calmed down fully.

* I...I'm sorry...I probably scared you all..

* Don't worry yourself Dream, it's okay.

I said, giving him a warm beverage. Nightmare and I stepped out of the room as Cross put Dream back to bed.

* Nightmare he's been through enough..

* I can't do anything about it.

* Yes you can! You just choose not to.

* He doesn't need my help.

* He needs your live Nightmare, you're twi-

* I hate him.

* He hasn't done anything to you Night!

Nightmare took my hand and I felt us go back in time. Back to when him and Dream were close.

The Past:
Nightmare sat down, shaking in pain. Not a single year fell, not even an ounce of emotion.

They had beaten Nightmare up again.

Dream eventually came up the hill I saw Nightmare injured. He didn't wait to help heal Nightmare up.

* Why don't you just stay at the tree, Dream...

* I have a duty Nighmare, you know I do.

* But you are also a guardian, you're meant to protect the tree.

Dream finished healing him.

* They beat me up almost everyday because I alone can't protect the apples Dream.

* It's not that hard Nightmare.

* It's as if you just don't care about me anymore Dream. You care more about those bratty villagers!

Dream climbed up into the treehouse and Nightmare followed.

* Dream just stay here tomorrow, please.

* I'm not having this discussion.

* Okay answer me this: if you had to choose between me and then who would you choose?

Dream stopped and turned to face his twin brother. They were eye to eye. Soul to soul.

Silence.

* You of course.

Dream smiled. He hugged Nightmare and apologised for acting moody.

Time went on.

...

* LET GO OF HIM!

Nightmare bellowed as the guards got ahold of Dream.

"Dream you have a choice, get those apples for us or stay with that brother of yours and we'll force it on the both of you."

* DREAM DON'T DO IT!

Dream looked at the villagers, who were miserable. They wanted...no, needed those apple to be happy again.

* ...I'm sorry Nightmare.

The Present:
Nightmare's View:
* He chose them over me. He didn't even come back for me. That's why I decided to eat the apple, I thought it would save me from Insanity. I was alone for 500 years Blue, 500.

Blue looked at me with tears in his eyes. He hugged me for a while before letting go.

* I'm taking the kids and staying with Amelia tonight.

Wait-

* What?

He cleared his tears.

* I want you to think how your choice to eat that apple correlates to the fact that Dream was forced to have sex with bad people. I love you Nightmare, I always have, do, and will but as of this moment, we're not in the same page.

Blue clicked his fingers and a backpack appeared in his hands.

He left the room.

My blood boiled. How could anyone understand the pain I endured for Dream? The ways I was neglected, forgotten, hidden, beaten.

Only to protect the golden apples.

Blue's View:
* I feel terrible for the way I left...

"You had to do it Blue, he won't learn the truth if it's sugarcoated."

* I guess...
