Chapter 26 - Familial Love

Dream's View:
[DREAM!]

I heard Shattered's voice as I tried to get up.

I needed to see if it was blood.

[Dream stay still, your water broke. I need to make sure you're okay.]

I held his hands and he swiped me into his. He teleported us to our room and laid me back down onto the bed. I groaned in pain as I tried to get into a more comfortable position.

* Th-The babies...

[I'm healing you, just stay calm...]

Shattered rubbed the tears of my face as he began to heal me. It only took him a few minutes.

That's when it hit me.

A contraction.

I screamed in excruciating pain, grabbing Shattered's hand.

* W-WHY is it h-happening s-so fast?!

Shattered made a phone call outside the room; I took time to catch my breath, trying my very best to remain calm. Within a few minutes, Ellie arrived.

"Dream, I'm here." She helped me into a better position.

[You need to check if he-]

"I know what I'm doing." She glanced at Shattered before returning back to me.

She spread my legs and used magic to check if the babies were ready.

"An hour." She said.

* ...AN HOUR?! I c-can't wait an hour!

"Dream I know it hurts but-"

* I-It feels like a n-need to p-push..!

Shattered held my hand.

[You'll be okay, just take deep breaths.]

The minutes went slowly but surely. When it was time, I pushed with all my might, ignoring the tremendous amount of pain I was in.

"One more push Dream...you can do this." Ellie said.

Shattered was with our baby boy across the room. I still had one more to go though....

Finally, I heard another baby crying loudly. I passed out within seconds.

The Next Day ~ 8AM
Nightmare's View:
My magic spun around me, Luna being the only one amused by it.

* He gave birth...?

I nodded to Blue's question. I didn't know how to react. Angry, guilty, upset?

Blue picked up Luna.

* Then we should go to him.

* We're not going to him, Blue.

* He's your brother!

I walked off, not wanting to have this argument with Blue again.

I went downstairs and realised nobody else was in the house.

* Killer? Cross? Dust? Horror? Epic?

Nothing.

Guess that was more time to myself.

Killer's View:
We knocked on the door and Shattered opened up.

* We heard Dream gave birth, is that true?

[...Yes.]

* Can we see him?

Shattered nodded and we went up to see him. Dream was just waking up. I looked over at Cross and he was emotionless. Epic held his hand tightly.
