Chapter 28 - Thoughts

One week later ~ 12Pm
Dream's View:
We were all sitting down enjoying lunch when the twins got Shattered's attention.

* Oh Daddy! Last week we saw Uncle Nightmare and our cousin Luna!

Bloom exclaimed.

My smile disappeared as Shattered faced me.

[Is this true?]

* Luna and Uncle Nightmare had tentacles just like you Father!

Hope said as he finished his milkshake.

The twins finished their food and ran upstairs to go and play.

[Dream I asked you a question.]

* Yes, we did.

[And you didn't tell me?]

* Why did you need to know?

Shattered glared at me before grabbing my arm firmly.

* You don't scare me anymore Shattered, and you don't need to know everything about me.

[Is that so? I knew a day like this would come. You ungrateful bitch.]

Shattered hit me hard in the face. I tried to make less noise as I didn't want to scare the twins.

* L-Let go of me-

['Mummy' is gonna spend a few days in the basement.]

* Let go of me! I hate you, you don't deserve ANYTHING you've gotten for these last ten years.

He ignored my words and dragged me down into the basement where it was dirty and easy to catch cold or infection. He tied me up and before I could do anything, I was knocked out hard.

The next day ~ 7AM
Luna's View:
It had been a week since I saw them; I wanted to see them again. The feeling of knowing that I had more family than my parents made me soul glow brightly. I knocked on my parent's room.

* Come in!

I opened the door, mother and father were still in bed.

* Is everything alright Luna?

* I want to go and visit Dream and their family.

They both turned to look at me.

* No.

* Why not?

* Nightmare maybe-

* I said no.

I frowned.

* Then I'll go by myself.

Before they could tell me otherwise, I teleported. Their house was huge! It was like a grand mansion. I knocked on the door nervously. The door opened and there stood another tentacled skeleton.

* And you are?

I gulped.

* I...I'm Nightmare's daughter.

* Come in.

I went inside with him and went to the living room. We sat down on different sofas.

* Is Dream here?

* ..No. Dream is at work right now.

* LUNA!!

The twins came rushing towards me and gave me a big hug. I smiled. Their personalities made the room brighter.

Dream's View:
I woke up with a pounding headache. There was dry blood on my head and arms. How long had I been out for? I heard voices upstairs....Luna was one of them.
