It's December, the time of the month where students anticipated and dreaded for. They couldn't wait for the holidays but that would mean their finals are getting closer. Many crammed a semesters worth of knowledge while others simply panicked. Students have roughly two weeks before most of them leave for break.

Iris was in potions class when an owl flew in towards Slughorn. The owl dropped a letter and flew out of the room. Slughorn open the letter and looked around the room. Once he spotted Iris he said, "Ms.Freya, it seems you are needed at Dumbledore's office. "

She walked through the halls wondering what the visit is about. When she arrived, she saw people from the Ministry and a Gryffindor student who looked like he was in his 7th year. Headmaster Dippet was there as well.As she looked through the intimidating group that stared at her, she finally spotted Dumbledore.

"You called, Professor?" Iris looked at Dumbledore.

"Yes, Iris. The Ministry has some important news to share. We were waiting for you before we start. " he said. He then looked over to the Minister, signaling him to start.

"My name is Leonard Spencer-Moon, I am the Minister for Magic. As you know Grindelwald and his army have been causing trouble in most of Europe and America. We're struggling to figure out what we, the Ministry, can do to protect our citizens and effectively rid of him. After many months of planning, a very hard decision has been made. It seems Professor Dumbledore hasn't been much of help" he said.

"Please" Dumbledore cringed, as he already feels an immense amount of guilt and restraint.

"Our decision is that we selected a few students from each school to be skillfully trained as Aurors. We chose students who have the potential and will power. We are losing many of our beloved witches and wizards, so training you to be highly skilled will benefit us in the war and in the near future. Your guardians have been notified" Moon said.

"I do not approve of this!" Dumbledore is hearing this decision for the first time.

"Then will you fight him or not?" Moon said.

Dumbledore stayed silent.

"It's okay, Professor. I'm sure we can manage" Iris looked at him caringly. She then turned towards Professor Moon, "I don't understand. We're children. What are we going to do?" Iris said.

"That's the thing. He'll least expect children to strike him. Besides, we aren't going to send you to the field off the bat. You will undergo extensive training so that we can shape you to become strong wizards." Moon said.

Iris and the 7th-year student were both astonished to be involved in the war at a young age. They did not have a say in it, but if it's for the greater good, then so be it.

"We will leave you to pack your things, but I strongly hence that you must not say any word about this to your friends. This operation is confidential. We can't risk Grindelwald getting a word of this." Moon said.

"After your last feast at the Great Hall, the Ministry will be there for your departure" Dippet said.

The people from the Ministry and Dippet left and it was just the two and Dumbledore.

"I'm very sorry it has to be this way. I fought hard against this, but there was no other way. " the look of sadness was clearly seen on Dumbledore's face.

"We'll be okay Professor, you have done everything you can to protect us, now it is our chance to save the rest. " the 7th year student told Dumbledore.

"Always looking on the bright side Ace. " Dumbledore said. "We must go now to the Great Hall."

"Would it be okay if I can speak to you alone, Professor?" Iris said.
