Chapter 15

Iris was placed on trial for her crimes. Headmaster Dippet, Dumbledore and Dementia were there to defend her.

"She must be sent to Azkaban and be placed under the highest supervision. She is dangerous!" one of the men who was sitting up on the stands.

"She's committed war crimes!" a woman yelled.

"Order!" the Minister said.

"I have you assured that now her memories are intact. She is no longer a follower of Grindelwald. Newt Scamander has discovered a parasite that eats up the hosts' memories and serves as a mind control. This very parasite that I speak of has been found in Miss Slytherin's brain. The thing has been living in her since she was first taken. She had no memory of her friends, her life at Hogwarts, no morals, or principles to live by. She was easily manipulated" Dumbledore said.

"And what about the lives lost in her hands?" a woman yelled.

"Yeah! How can that be forgiven?" a man said.

"She can't undo what she did" a woman said

"She's only a child. It doesn't excuse her of the lives she's taken but she was in no control of her actions for the last four years" Dippet said.

"Grindelwald is to blame, not her. She was only his puppet" Dumbledore said.

"Do you know how many Aurors she's killed? Families? Children? She is no longer a child" a man said.

"She's a Slytherin! It's in her blood!" a woman yelled.

"Yeah!" Many agreed.

This caused a riot.

"Order! Order! Miss Slytherin, what do you have to say?" the Minister said.

"I have no excuses for what I've done. I've done many unforgivable things that only now I am processing. I wish I could take back everything. If only I hadn't left my dorm that night, I wouldn't even be here...I understand the severe punishments that lay before me. And if death were to be my punishment...then you must know that in order to kill me, you must destroy my Horcruxes" she said.

"Horcruxes?!" Many murmured in the stance.

"I will tell you their exact locations. I will do anything to make it right" she said.

"How many has she made?!"

"That's impossible!"

"A monster!"

"ORDER!" the Minister said.

"You can see that despite what Miss Slytherin has done, she too is a victim of Grindelwald. She has to live with this guilt for the rest of her life. She did his dirty work. Is that not a torturous punishment for you?" Dippet said.

Many whispered within each other.

"Enough!" The Minister ordered everyone in the room, "There is clear evidence that Iris Freya Slytherin is undoubtedly guilty of all the crimes she's committed alongside Grindelwald. But with newfound evidence that Mr. Scamander has brought in, it has come to my attention that she was not in control of her actions for four years. A parasite that was placed in her head since she was twelve years old. It served as a blockage for any ounce of humanity in her. She then became a mindless servant of Grindelwald...this is a hard decision and in order to be fair, we will reach a verdict in two weeks. In the meantime, the Horcruxes Miss Slytherin has confessed to is a matter to be dealt with." The Minister then looked to Iris, "You will list out the locations of every Horcrux you have created and our Aurors will deal with them accordingly."

"Yes, Minister" Dippet said.

"Miss Slytherin may return to her cell. Everyone is dismissed" Minister said.
