Chapter 35

Nicollete looked up and saw two hooded figures. One had a noticeably blood red cloak. She pushed them off and ran until she found a room to hide, locking herself in. Meanwhile, the two strangers were trying to open the door from the other side. They see an odd light shine through the cracks.

"What is she doing?" The purple cloaked figure said.

"The knob is unlocked, but she's blocking the door with something" The red cloaked figure said.

"Back away" 

"Bombarda!"

"What do you think you're doing?! The entire school heard that"

"Let's just take care of her and leave"

"You won't get away with this!" Nicollete yelled.

"Oh we will"

"Iris will know. They will know!" Nicollete said.

"As if we're scared of her"

"You're too late! All is well" Nicollete shoved a devious smile in their faces.

One of them waved their wand and pointed towards her. The flash of green radiated Nicollete's body as she fell on the stone cold ground.

"What did she mean by that?"

"We were too late. Change of plans"

"Can't we just go back further"

"We already messed up. If we do that again, we'll disrupt the timeline even more"

Tom and his gang approach from the corridors. They see their shadows grow smaller as they were close.

"Hey! Who are you two?!" Tom marches over. His eyes were narrow, brows furrowed.

"Shit! It's him. It's Voldemort"

"We must hurry!"

"Wait! He's my-"

"Don't even think about it! You are not going to talk to him!"

Tom shoots a spell from his wand, but the two disappear from thin air.

"Who were they?!" Avery said.

"Look, they're the cause of that noise. They damaged school property" Malfoy said.

They see feet peering from the doorway.

"Hey, isn't that Nicollete's shoes" Ava said, then realized it might be her and bolted to check. Her hands covered her mouth as she was in shock.

The rest of the gang came by and saw her body.

"She's dead" Lestrange said.

"Get the professors!" Tom said.

There was a huge crowd in a particular area. Iris tried to make her way over there until she heard Augustana cry. Iris then saw Professor Dumbledore and Headmaster Dippet in the scene. So, she pushed and shoved to get inside the circle. Iris couldn't believe, what laid in front of her.

Iris didn't cry nor fell down on her knees. But stood there ina  state of shock, knowing that this was the last thing she would ever come across to.

"Ok now, everyone go back to your dorms. Classes will be canceled for today. " Dippet said.

"Will Prefects lead the students back to the common rooms as we assess the situation. For the safety of everyone, you will remain in your rooms until further notice" McGonagall announced.

Prefects ushered their houses away from the scene. Tom still stood there, staring at Nicollete's body.

Iris saw to it and approached him, "Tom, will you please help Ava lead the Slytherins back to the common room?"
