It was past ten and Iris snuck her way out from the dungeons. Iris had always been sneaky even in her first year. Now that she is much stronger and knowledgeable, it felt much more easy. She found Christopher and Abella waiting for her outside the entrance of the forest.
"Thank goodness you're here, we should get moving soon. I don't like breaking the rules" Abella had her arms hugging to her chest as if she was shivering at the thought of going in the forest.
Iris led them inside the forest.
"This place is giving me the creeps. The night just really puts the cherry on top. This is much different than the day" Christopher said.
"Did you hear that?!" Abella said making Christopher stop abruptly, but Iris kept walking.
"Keep walking or you'll die standing there" Iris joked.
"That's not funny!" Abella said.
"So if our challenge is this forest, how would we know where to go?" Christopher asked.
"Well, try to remember anything that stands out to you, it will help you know where you are. There is a trail not too far from here, but it'll take longer. The only thing that concerns me would be outsiders. There are hundreds of poacher camps around here. I wonder if the Ministry will clear them before the tournament " Iris said.
"Why would they let us do the tournament in a forest so dangerous" Abella said.
"I don't know, but we must stick together. We mustn't separate during the challenge" Iris said.
"We should head back. I think we've been here long enough" Christopher said.
"Follow me" Iris said.
They walked out of the forest and into the school grounds.
"Never thought being back at school would bring me relief" Christopher said.
"I'll be on my own from here, my dorm is on the other side, be safe you two. As long as we stick to your plan, Iris, we'll all be fine" Abella said.
Christopher and Iris walked together since their dorms are in the same direction. They walked through the doors as quietly as they can. But little did they know Tom was still awake and doing his Prefect duties. He noticed the two and started to follow them.
Iris can sense someone near and her necklace started to glow, so she knew it was Tom. Christopher and Iris kept walking.
"Iris, I wanted to know if you could help me with something" Christopher said.
"What is it?" she said.
"If you could meet me by the north exit of the castle tomorrow at noon. It's better I tell you there" he said.
"Sure" she said.
Tom walked over to the two.
"It's past curfew, why are you two out of your dorms?!" He scolded them.
"Don't worry, I'm just walking her back to her dorm, I'll be on my way. " Christopher said.
"You can go ahead and retire to your dormitory. I will take care of her from here" Tom glared at him as Christopher left.
It was just Tom and Iris.
"Come, lets go" Tom said as he tried to hold her, but she pushed him off and walked ahead of him.
"What do you want?" she said.
"What were you two doing out so late?" he said.
"We snuck out to get ahead of our next challenge. That's all" she said.
