"Is practice over?" Dumbledore said from his balcony.

The two were caught off guard. Tom and Iris quickly moved off of each other and grabbed their things.

Tom coughed, "Ahem, yes, Professor"

"Good" Dumbledore smirked.

"Don't make that face" Iris scolded Dumbledore.

"Come on, we have to get to Transfiguration" Tom said

"You think I'm going to lecture again? Please, anything but that" she said.

"If I can tolerate it, you can too. You can't hide forever, let's go" Tom grabbed her arm and dragged her with him.

"Kids these days" Dumbledore mumbled to himself before returning to his office.

"Noooo, she's going to make us read eggs and sticks" Iris whined.

"A ruthless killer, whining?" Tom said.

"Yes, now let me go" she said.

"You're going to suffer like the rest of us" he said.

They ushered themselves into their seat.

"I thought we'd do some simple palm readings today as it will be on your exam, so go on ahead and read your peers" the Professor said.

Iris grabbed Tom's hand violently.

"How elegant of you" Tom said sarcastically.

"You need lotion" Iris said.

Tom glared at her, but Iris ignored it. She went ahead and used one of the oils that were on the table to massage it into his hand.

"What are you doing?" he retracted his hand.

"Moisturizing it" she said as she grabbed his hand back.

"What are you, my mother?" he said.

"Uhh, at one point yeah. Who was the one cleaning and cooking in the house?" she said.

"Cooking? Last I remember, I was the one cooking" he said.

"I did your laundry, made your bed..." she went on.

"Okay, fine. But refrain from doing this in public, people are looking" he said as he finally released her grip from his hand.

"For all they know we could be dating...after all, you asking me out spread like wildfire." she said.

"It's quite sad that this school finds entertainment in trivial things like this" he said as he grabbed her hand and pretended to read it.

"What's sad is that you lead Ava on like a puppy" she said.

"It's not my fault she's naive and stupid. I never thought you'd actually be concerned for her" he said.

"She's annoying but she's much better off away from you" she said.

"You should practice what you preach" he said.

"I'm the only one that knows your darkest secrets, sweetheart" she faked a smile.

"Trust me, you don't" he said.

"I've read your mind already" She thought to herself but refrained from saying it.

"You can't get rid of me...you made the vow" she said.

"That you destroyed," he said.

"No not the oath...the vow you made when we were in the tower" she said.

Tom nearly forgot about it, "I don't think that worked. Doubt it'd do anything"

"Come on...love in our hearts? Now that's cute" she teased him.
