It's Ace and Iris's first morning at the Ministry. They got ready in uniforms that the Ministry gave them. They walked over to the dining hall to meet the rest of the students. They were served with breakfast. Awkward silence and the clinking of the utensils filled the air. Once they were done, Dementia escorted them to another room.

It was a big room enough for the students to spread out.

"We will be training in here for the most part. Now to start off, we will be practicing the basics of defense against the Dark Arts. Let us start with the Patronus... So wands up and go!" Dementia said.

Iris realized that the students that were chosen were about the same age as Ace. She was the youngest one out of all of them.

"Excuse me, but how do you cast it?" Iris asked Dementia.

"You must be the lucky youngling that was picked. Move your wand like so" she demonstrated the movement, "All you have to do is think of your happiest memory and say Expecto Patronum. Don't worry if you do not cast it out the first time. "

Iris thought of Tom and the memories they shared. She took her wand and said, "Expecto Patronum!" with confidence.

A huge serpent flew from her wand and swam around the room.

"Oh my, h-how?"Dementia stuttered.

The students gathered around Iris, and Ace emerges out of them.

"How did you manage to do that?" Ace asked.

"I don't know, what's so important I thought this was a basic spell. " Iris said.

"Its basic for the upperclassmen, but it is still a powerful charm. Not many can conjure it up so quickly, especially not on the first try. But to conjure up something big as yours is rare. It takes a lot of will power. " Ace said.

"Your Patronus is so big that it can take an army of a hundred dementors. " a girl commented.

"Well, it's quite extraordinary, but we must continue for we have lots to do. " Dementia said as she tries to hide her worries.

After weeks of defense charms and jinxes, it was time for the Dark Arts.

"Does anyone know what the unforgivable curses are?" Dementia said

"The Killing curse, Cruciatus Curse, and Imperius Curse. " a boy from Durmstrang pointed out.

"That's right and we as Aurors are authorized to perform these spells. So we must teach it to you. " Dementia said

The students looked at each other with worried looks.

"Line up!" Dementia yelled to the students. She then casted something from her wand. In front of the students appeared rodents.

"You will perform these curses on them" Dementia said.

"I won't do it!" a girl said

"Yeah me too!" a boy agreed.

"Would you rather prefer to perform them on a person? "

The two students looked down and didn't answer.

"That's what I thought. Like I said before, our training can affect you mentally, we trust that you young wizards and witches are capable of this. Now we will start with the Imperius curse and will go from there. "

The students took their wands but hesitated. Iris took her wand with no hesitation and cast the curse on the small rat. It did what Iris wanted to do.

"Very good Iris!" Dementia complemented her.
