In the library, Fleamont was studying for his classes while Iris was there working and accompanying him.

"I feel like my head is about to explode" Fleamont slams his face in his books.

Iris chuckled, "You'll be fine" she said as she was placing the books away.

Meanwhile, Tom was not that far from them. He was on the other side of the aisle, hearing their conversation.

"Easy for you to say. One glance and you have it memorized" he said.

"You're exaggerating. I struggle at times" she said.

"You don't get it. An idiot like me can't get it until the school year is over. You, however, somehow make it easier to understand" he said.

"I'm flattered, but there really is nothing to it. All it takes is your attention. Maybe you are thinking about other things and it distracts you from trying to learn" she said.

"Couldn't be more right. How are you able to ignore the distractions in your head?" he said.

"Well, I didn't have much to do when I was at the orphanage. I didn't have friends and I was locked up in my room" she said.

"I think you're the one exaggerating" he said.

"I wish. I was locked up in my room because of my powers. So, I had nothing to do but stick my head in books." She said.

"That's harsh, you couldn't have been that bad." He said.

"Well, you don't know what I did" she said.

"What did you do? Turn someone's nose big? Make them into a balloon? Gave them slugs?" he said.

Iris hesitated, "Sure, something like that" she lied.

"No one should be punished so" he said.

"Right, well, I guess I deserved mine" she said.

"Whatever you say" he said not believing what she had to say, "So when we are finished with the school year, are you going back to that dreadful place? For the summer?" He said.

"Where else am I suppose to go?" She said.

"If you want, you can stay at my place" he said.

"I don't want to intrude and I don't think your parents would want to take care of a child they didn't ask for" she said.

"My parents don't mind. You're always welcome." He said.

"Monty, that's thoughtful of you, but I'll be fine. Well...While you are being tortured in Herbology, I'm going to put some books in the back. I'll be back in a few" Iris took some books with her and made her way to the back of the library.

Tom got up and followed her. He stayed far away from where she couldn't sense him. They were walking through a long hallway where it felt eerie and oddly quiet. She walked into the right corridor where there was an archway leading to a room filled with more books. It was cold and dusty.

"So this is the restricted section" Tom muttered to himself.

While he was too busy observing the surroundings, he lost Iris. Even in the quiet room, he still couldn't hear her. He cautiously walked through one of the aisles and briefly ran through the books. One particular one caught his eye.

Dante's Inferno

He grabbed it off the shelf and was about to open it when someone interrupts him.

"I wouldn't open that if I were you" Iris was right behind him, arms crossed.

He quickly turns his body to face hers "You lied to me." He said.
