POV: Sun, King of the Dragons

*Year one of the Island creation*

The red dragon with blue eyes and orange wings stood there frozen in fear. The surroundings around him were once cave outlines that faded to black. The King of Dragons could not move nor breathe as the darkness surrounded him, and then it ended. The King fell to the ground with a thud.

A black lion with black wings, now slowly placed by white was standing him. The feline looked angry and had every right to be as the Dragon slowly stood up.

The two locked eyes and knew that on this day that the friends would never reconcile as things would only get worst.

Striking blue eyes glared at the Dragon as he stood a mere few feet from him. "Sun, this is your only warning, if you ever hurt my sister or this island. I will show you true pain and agony," Calamitous growled as blood dripped from his side. However, the Angel either pretended or did not feel pain as he never winced from any movements.

"I never realized that Angels can bleed. Funny to see that you bleed red." Sun snickered, trying to get the Angel mad on purpose.

It was difficult to stand as this was the first time that Calamitous used this type of magic on Earth. The pain was never-ending as if the power had gripped the Dragon's soul tightly.

Sun knew that Calamitous and Snow would be the only creatures that could destroy him. Well, this ease anyways. However, the blue brat would not hurt a fly, while the red rat would never go against his sister. It was very annoying to see them act like Guardians or Caretakers.

Truth be told, Sun knew that the Angel siblings were not the true enemy. It was Feather.

The brown, green ear Griffin is the true threat, but whether he knew it or not. The siblings protected him.

At first, Sun thought Feather could be a friend, but the feeling did not last long.

Upon completing the Island, Feather and Sun were at odds. One had the birthright of becoming King, while the other sole desired to protect everything he had created.

Only one could rule.

It was a surprise to see that Snow had changed the mind of the Griffin. She explained that he has a place elsewhere and that fighting would only cause death and fear.

Sun did not know what the Angel meant by Feather having a place elsewhere, but it anger him deeply.

*Only one should rule. That is the Dragon way, and Griffins follow the same sentiment.* Sun remembers his thoughts.

"Cal," Sun said as he hated that long name belonging to the red-winged Angel.

"I told you, not to call me that," Calamitous replied, going back to his indifferent tone as they left the cave.

Their spats were a monthly occurrence that they kept hidden from the others.

It was an unsaid agreement that they would never bring the others into it. Calamitous did not wish to worry his sister, while Sun did not want the Feather to stick his beak into the Dragon's business.

Truly, only the Angels could cause his death. However, it was Feather that gave off vibes that he had no problem fighting the Dragon for the throne.

*If the red rat and blue brat did not care about that Griffin.....* Sun thought, bitterly as they walked out of the Royal cave that Calamitous was making.

The sun was shining brightly as the wind blew gently, shaking the leaves on the trees. Birds and winged beasts flew in the sky as the land creatures ran and played. The ocean must start to take hold as the territory was slowly forming into the seas.
