(Fabula)

*Note: Fabula is translated to a variety of different names such as story, tale, and myth. However, her name was chosen because of her playful nature.*
Deep within the Forest of Veteres, a teacher and students were coming from their two-hour break. The trees surrounding the Lesson area didn't allow a lot of light through, but that never bothered the wolves. The grass was warm with cool soil. A mix of leaves, sticks, and rocks litter the ground. The smell of rain was non-existent, but there was a faint damp fish smell that came from the river, which normally could be heard if one remains quiet. However, the pups were drowning out the kind music of nature with their whines, barks, and howls.
Unlike other tribes, the wolves and other community-based animals don't limit knowledge simply because of rank. It was a belief among their kind that knowledge makes the wolves' survival rate increase. So, even the lowest of the ranks among the pack knew more than the basic knowledge.
Fabula is a 30-year-old Red Wolf that teaches the pups of the pack between the ages of two to fifteen years of age. However, her dream job is to teach Lessons to other tribes, not just her own pack.
Her eyes were like the golden sun with a voice that can be calm as the breeze yet strong as the thunder. Fabula's fur was mostly gray with hints of red and a white-gray underbelly. However, she did have one odd defect that made her different from the pack. Fabula was born without a tail. However, that didn't stop her from trying her best.
Fabula watched her playful and mischievous students as they came in from their break time, which was generally around high noon. The wolf pups were free to hunt, play, swim, or even annoy their teachers with questions. However, she liked it when the students seek for her during this time. It made her feel wanted and respected, even if the questions were generally related to her having no tail. Sometimes Fabula would joke around and claimed that she lost her tail from battling a Grizzly Bear.
*Note: Fabula's been working as a teacher for twelve years, and there are multiple teachers for Lessons. They can be simple and involved with how to survive, or complicated like teaching about other cultures of different animals (sometimes also called tribes).*
"Children, settle down. It's time to continue our Lessons about the different cultures." Fabula said sweetly as her class of about 20 pups sat down but continued to talk.
*It's always a pain getting them to settle after break time.* Fabula thought bitterly as she waited for five minutes, and none of the pups even looked in her direction. The Red wolf couldn't even understand what the conservation was about because the how loud they were.
*HOWL* Fabula howls to get her students' attention.
When the teacher was done howling. Fabula felt the air getting slightly colder, which was odd as it was posted to be the warm season. The Red Wolf shivered from the sudden cold as a way to shake off her nerves. Even after twelve years of teaching, she still used this method to help control her anxieties and fears.
*Note: Dry, wet, warm (summer), cold (winter), and Spring/Fall seasons are sometimes used in interchangeable ways. However, that is incorrect terminology. The Southern territories used Dry and Wet seasons. The Northern territories generally used Summer (warm), Winter (cold), Fall, and Spring. The Eastern and Western territories used both terminologies and sometimes incorrectly used them to describe the season.*
As the class fell silent. They whimpered at Fabula's frown as they knew her rules about manners.
However, that was common for all wolves throughout the species. They pride themselves on showing respect to those that command them. Being a teacher sometimes meant she had to break up fights whenever the pups start practicing and developing this behavior. It was more a problem with her older students, with the oldest being 14. However, the behavior of trying to become dominant develops around seven or ten, but it can range.
