POV: Kadupul, Queen of the Panthera Regina and Kitsune

The brown Drawin Fox with milky white eyes yawned as she sat on her throne. Sometimes it got boring while waiting for something to happen. Rufus's junior claims that there was work to be done today, but that was hours ago. The sun was nearly at its peak.

The fox's stomach growled in part of the rebellion.

There was no one else in the throne room. Kadupul doubled check this as she discovered that the energy level sight or is a feeling. Well, either way, the fox could turn it on or off and learn that she could expand the radius of this ability.

That is how Kadupul could tell where Rex was located. At this moment, her royal guard was training with the others. Currere defiantly earned the right to become the second in command as she may be the youngest but outfought anyone.

The little black Griffin was still tiny in size, but Kadupul would never fully know the difference without sight. However, she had some ideas as Rex, and Swamp both explained to her about Currere being considered a dwarf among her kind.

That did not stop her though, and Kadupul could not be any more proud.

Memories of the passed flew rushed in Kadupul's mind as the silences of the forest and cave filled her ears.

When Roseis passed, the court tried to remove the fox from the throne with every weak excuse they could come up with. Every time, the Royal court counteracted.

They're the first excuse was the Queenling was blind, but Leona pointed out that Rulers in the past never had a problem ruling as their advisors helped them with anything requiring sight. The second excuse was that Kadupul was too young, as Rulers had to be twenty or over. What did not make sense was that they claimed that Rex should be on the throne despite being underage as well.

The Kitsune smiled.

The Royal Guard cursed them out and said that Roseis was nineteen when her father passed. This meant she became an unofficial Queen a year before anyone knew what had happened.

Kadupul loved that fact knowing she had a sculk who would stand beside her and behind her. Sometimes she still felt it was all a dream, and someday might wake up.

The Queen of Panthera Regina wanted Swamp to be her advisor as the Monster was trustworthy and good at research. Whatever Swamp did not know, he would know sooner or later. However, the court CLAIMED that since he was a slave, and thus had no rights.

Kadupul wanted to fight it, but Bamboo was the one that whispered in her ear and warned her that some battles are not worth it. It was surprising to discover that the Gaint Panda was not born on the island. That part of the past advisor's past was kept quiet. Even Mason was given rights and freedom despite being believed that he should be killed or enslaved.

Darwin's fox gave up and picked Regina, Rex's sister to be her advisor. However, Swamp was the real one, and the court knew it. Everyone knew it.

All the other tribe's leaders send letters addressing Swamp, and the court as well. It seemed that they did not want to see the Swamp Monster every time they had to visit. Thus, Swamp developed an unofficial title as Lord while Regina was referred to by her name.

*The court cannot accuse us of lying if everyone knows that Swamp does the real work.* Kadupul thought with a yawn as she stood up and stretched her legs and back. The fox got off the throne and stretched her neck out. The Darwin Fox loved walking down the halls of the Royal Cave. She also loved not having to wear that crown every second. *Well, Rufus is not showing up. He is certainly not his father as that bird would never be late. I do hope he is okay, but this gives me an excuse to hang out with my sculk.*
