Hawkins, Indiana'Chapter One: The Vanishing of Will Byers'
'It started at the Wheelers house.'
Giggles and laughter fills the air as me and Nancy gossip. "She's such a bitch." Nancy comments while messing with her cards for some revising. "Honestly my mum is a clown. She acts like a twelve your old it's embarrassing" I smile glancing at the cards "do we really have to revise? I cant be bothered" I whine throwing my head down of the pillow. Nancy shuffles her body and turns her head toward me with a playful look "Yes we have to! Otherwise you won't pass."
Before I could answer I could hear the boys yell from two floors up. "They are so loud-" I roll my eyes and before I could finish my sentence the phone rings. Nancy jumps up in excitement and reaches for the phone. I groan and bang my head against the pillow rapidly knowing who was on the other end of the phone. Nancy picks the phone up and smiles "Hi Steve." She beams.
Steve Harrington. Otherwise known as King Steve..cocky much. The guy who thinks he runs the school just because of hair and 'devilish' good looks, he thinks he's King dick. To me knowledge he's a stuck up two faced narcissist who is so full of himself. But that's my opinion.
"Please get off the phone I don't want my eardrums bleeding from all the cringey stuff you say to each other" I announce as I fake gag. Nancy just laughs at me and goes back on to talking to him. "Tell King dick I said 'Goodnight your Majesty'" I say in a posh voice sitting up on the bed and bowing down causing more laughter to erupt from Nancy. Steve probably heard all that but do I care? No. I'm glad he heard it.
I hear someone come up the stairs. As I turn towards the door I see Dustin Henderson waving at us with a smile on his face. He's adorable but a genius, that's what Kyle said. Not the adorable part I added that. "Hey, there's a slice left if you guys want it" he announces making my smile grow. I mean who doesn't love food, leftovers even better.
I jump off the bed and walk on over to him "hey Dustin, what kind of pizza is it? It better not be pineapple" I say as my stomach growls. Pineapple doesn't deserve to be on pizza, it's not made for it. Pineapple on its own is amazing, love the tingles on my tongue but on pizza is a no-go. Dustin opens up the pizza box "sausage and pepperoni." I snatch it out of the box and take a bite. Pizza is such a comfort food plus, I want to make my own pizza so bad and have loads of toppings and cheese, oh cheese.
"Thanks Dustin" I smile as I carry on demolishing the slice. Dustin continues to stare at me as I eat. "We're all leaving now, Kyle is downstairs waiting for you" he declared waiting for my response. I finish up eating and lick my fingers. He's probably thinking I'm weird just standing here in front of him licking my fingers. "I'll be down now, thanks Dustin" I say before he walks off back downstairs.
