"So these actually make your tongue grow uncontrollably?" Tara asked, impressed. She held one of the sweets in front of her and inspected it. She put it down and smiled, "You two are geniuses!"
Fred took it from her and threw it in the air before catching it cleanly, "Thank you" he said proudly
George routed under his bed before taking out a notebook. He threw it to Tara and she caught it.
"What's this?" She asked, opening it slowly. The pages were creased and ,from what she could see, each page was so filled the writing could be seen from the other side.
"More ideas" George answered, sitting down on the floor beside Fred's bed, "We think you'll like the last one"
Tara flicked through the pages, stopping occasionally to look at the other products. Fred grinned as Tara read through them, absolutely fascinated. The book was mostly filled, except for a few pages near the end.
Fred decided to hurry her up and he took the book from her, flicking to the page that he knew she would want to see.
"Hey!" Tara whined, trying to grab it, "I had it first"
"And I own it" Fred retorted, smirking at her. He handed back the notebook and awaited her reaction.
Tara bit back a smile as she looked down to the page. However, the second she read the title she couldn't hold her smile back any longer.
"Are those-"
"Extendable ears?" Fred finished her sentence and grinned smugly, "Yes they are"
Tara laughed gleefully and read the page. It contained possible materials needed, spells that would make sure the product worked properly and lastly sketches of what the product would look like.
"But I suggested these years ago" Tara told them, looking up from the book
"Four years to be precise" Fred nodded, throwing an arm around her, "But we remembered"
"No, Fred remembered" George said, leaning back on his hands, "We were stuck with ideas for a bit and he remembered how you suggested those in second year"
Tara handed the book back to George and turned to Fred, "I'm glad I came in handy"
Fred chuckled, "Who knew a plain ol' Hufflepuff could be the key to our success?"
"Don't underestimate the things I can do, Weasley" Tara warned jokingly, pointing a finger at him threateningly.
"Oh dear!" Fred exclaimed, falling backwards onto the bed, "She's cursed me, I'll be dead in no time for sure"
Tara laughed and pulled him back up.
"Don't be so dramatic" George scoffed, throwing the book back under his bed, "If Tara wanted to curse you, you'd be dead already"
"I'm very powerful" Tara chimed in, elbowing Fred in the ribs
The three laughed for an hour or so, talking about the year ahead and small talk like that. The Gryffindor team had yet to find out who their new captain would be for this years quiditch league. The Hufflepuffs needed one new chaser, since one had just left.
Cedric Diggory, their seeker, Tara herself and Mitchell Everard, her fellow beater, all joined the team at the same time. James, their keeper, followed the year after along with Ciara, a chaser. During her fourth year, they welcomed Sarah, another chaser to the team. During the same year Cedric became the captain after Anthony left school. When Anthony left, Nick manifold took his place as chaser however he would not be returning this year.
