During this lesson Professor Moody and I discussed Legimency. He knows about my bistlry from my teachers and we talked about how that might affect my mental fortitude and whether he thinks it could strengthen or weaken it.
After some discussion he came to the conclusion that it would likely strengthen it. He seemed surprised at this. He concluded that because of how my past had influenced my ambitions and my determination to learn new spells (as well as my habit for keeping my emotions hidden-unhealthy I'm aware; I'm working on it) would make that wall between an intruder and my mind stronger.
However he said there are some downsides to this, he told me that if that wall is eventually penetrated that it would collapse at a much more rapid and violent rate than what would be expected of a girl my age. Which would lead to it being harder for me to push the enemy out of my head if I was to ever face anyone skilled in the area of legemency and mind reading.
He wants to work on it with my next lesson. He wants to try built my resilience by breaking into my mind and me trying to break into his.
I'm kind of anxious about it, should I be? It seems so much more advanced than I'd prepared for and more...intrusive.
But if that's what one of the most notorious and well respected aurors thinks will benefit me, I should trust the process.
