Today Professor Moody and I went through some spells. He asked me what my weakest spells were so I told him, obviously.
So we spent a long time on perfecting those, I'm at a point where I'm better at them but I still have to think about it more than I do other spells.
We discussed wandless magic and Legimency, he wants to explore of the latter topic next lesson. I think it could be handy, being able to block your mind from enemies while learning how to exploit their minds weaknesses.
1) we drilled the weakening and confusion hexes. Moody recons the difficulty I have performing them is accosted with my own past and traits. He says, it's a possibility my inner desire for fairness could prevent me from executing these spells well. He also suggests that my past struggling with my own magical abilities manifests in this way.
2) We talked briefly about wandless magic and the advantages it has. It certainly is intriguing. Maybe when I go home I might start trying to summoning objects without a wand-could be useful.
3) legimency: the topic we discussed most heavily. Mad eye does seem particularly interested in investigating the mind and the behaviours of our opponents. He wants to start working on closing my mind and exploring my own, so called, traumas to a) better understand my own weaknesses and b) learn how to guard them from the people I don't want to see them.
I think progress is steadily being made and I must admit it is nice to focus on things I need work on....I hate to be all high and mighty but I have found classes quite long in the past year or so, just re-doing stuff I already have down.
I like this attention. Anyhow, my next lesson is scheduled for after the task so we can discuss the task and how I would have overcome it. Besides this he wants an extra lesson sometime inbetween or after to practice legimency.
