The Weasleys, Tara, and Hermione were sitting in the kitchen. The two-day-old news that they would be going to the quidditch world cup, had yet to wear off. Harry would be coming the next day and the only thing they could talk about was who would be taking the floo network along with Mr. Weasley.
"Well, I have to go" Ron pressed, "He's my best mate"
"Ok so we'll bring Ron-"Mr. Weasley started, "I don't think we need anyone else-"
"We'll go" Fred volunteered, casually.
Tara turned to her side, to look quizzically at him. There was no reason for him to go.
"And why would you two want to go?" Molly asked, suspiciously, looking both of the twins up and down as if they were about to cause a scene right there at that moment.
"That's a good question, mate" Tara whispered to him, "Why do you wanna go?" she asked, raising her eyebrows, and giving him a teasing look.
Fred looked to Tara and narrowed his eyes before turning to his mother, "Aren't we allowed to escort a family friend safely to this fine establishment"
Mr. Weasley turned to George, "Is that it?" he asked, amused.
"Exactly what he said actually, father" George nodded, a look of seriousness on his face
"Ok, fine," Mr. Weasley sighed, "So, the twins-"
"Why are they going?" Ron objected
"The twins..."Mr Weasley, repeated, giving a stern look to his youngest son, who sat back defeated, with a sigh, "and Ron."
Tara looked up at Fred, who looked back at her and winked. Tara then looked over to George, "Care to explain?" she mouthed
"Gladly" George mouthed back. He then cleared his throat and stood up, "I need to be excused" he announced grandly, "As does my dear friend, Tara Tonks as well as my twin br-"
"Mate," Bill interrupted, "Nobody cares, now sod off"
"Thanks" George said cheerily, grabbing his twins arm and pulling him up.
Fred groaned and nodded at Tara to follow them. She sighed, so used to this behavior from the two of them she didn't bother to comment. She got up , Fred waiting for her at the door of the kitchen as George continued into the living room and up the stairs.
"You two are so weird" Tara scoffed, as she reached Fred, "How have I stuck with you this long?" She laughed
"Not a notion" Fred answered with a chuckle, closing the kitchen door behind them, "Can't complain though"
The two turned to each-other and grinned. Tara felt her heart rise to her throat, she could feel herself start to smile and her cheeks started to heat up. She rolled her eyes and turned away and started to head up the stairs, "I can complain" she said, not looking back to him in fear of revealing how she really felt.
Fred scoffed and quickly went after her, "Shut up you'd be so lost without us." He said grabbing her arm to catch up with her. He let go before smirking, "Without me" he finished cheekily
Tara turned her head to look at him, taking another step up the stairs, "You wish. I'm very popular"
"True." He admitted fairly, nodding, "However, we are you favorites"
"In your dreams" she retorted quickly, turning back to the front when they reached the landing of the first floor.
"Could you two love birds stop chit chatting and hurry up, please?" George complained, calling to them from the second floor, "I'm waiting here"
